Lesson Overview 1. The previous lesson is recapped. 2. Students move into groups and the students that were absent yesterday were absorbed into the groups. You explain about accepting new members without complaint and make a nice link to Manaaki . 3. You tell the class when the task is due and they begin work. As they work you wander around and answer questions and make sure everyone knows what to do. 4. The class is stopped and you give them feedback on what you have noticed as you have been checking everyone's work. This refocusses the class and they carry on working. 5. Some people finish a bit early so you ask them to research an aspect in a bit more detail. The class are reminded that they have 10 minutes to finish. 6. The class are asked to email their presentations before the next lesson. 7. You ask the class to put their hand up and say the useful things that they have learnt in the lesson. Then the class is dismissed. Positives Spending some time chatting with students about things other than their work. A nice way to build a rapport with your students.
