LIFE-SAVING STATION MUSEUM READIES FOR STORM WARRIORS 5K RUNWALK

The Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum Society will hold its fourth Storm Warriors 5K run walk on Sat Nov 11 on

the Boardwalk starting at the Museum Sign-inregistration is 8 am the race begins at 9 A 5K is 31 miles

ldquoThis has proven to be a very popular event Participation has grown every yearrdquo said Nancy Howard event coordinator

ldquoWe hope that folks will come out to support the Museum Get your day started with a brisk run or walk and then have

the rest of the day to enjoy all that Ocean City and the area have to offerrdquo

The Museum has been a staple in Ocean City since 1978 The mission of the Society is to inspire and support the interpre-

tation and appreciation of the cultural and natural history of Ocean City Maryland the Worcester County coastal re-

gion and equally the historical role performed by the United States Life-Saving Service and to preserve with subse-

quent mandate the 1891 structure that once served as the Ocean City Station
