Delta Alpha Alumnae Newsletter By Bianca Cantagallo – New Member Being a new member in Alpha Xi Delta is better than I ever could have imagined. The initiated members have educated me and surrounded me with so much sisterly love! I’ve learned how much Alpha Xi Delta values sisterhood and how they work to make every woman who joins reach their potential. My favorite part of being a new member is experiencing all these new things that Alpha Xi Delta has to offer. Recently, we went on our fall retreat to Mall of America for Walk Now. I’ve never had the opportunity to visit the Mall of American or to be involved in something so impactful such as the walk. We work so hard to make a difference in the life of Autism affected families, and I’m most excited to continue experiencing that. Overall, I’m so happy that I chose to be an Alpha Xi Delta and that they chose me, I cannot see my life without my sisters anymore! Xi Love! UW-L Greek Life Oktoberfest Clean-Up After the craziness that La Crosse experienced with the annual Oktoberfest festivities, the Fraternity and Sorority community wanted to come together to help pick up the mess. The Sunday morning after Oktoberfest, we grabbed our trash bags, put on our gloves, and got to work. It was a lot of fun wandering the streets of La Crosse with fellow Greeks and helping out the community at the same time.

Philanthropy Update By Angie Fersch Walk Now was on October 12th, 2013 at the Mall of America. Our chapter raised $1,350.00 for Autism Speaks. We volunteered in the children’s center and we played with the parachute, painted faces, colored, and worked the photo booth station. We had 26 girls in attendance for Walk Now making it a huge success. The walk was a great experience for our initiated members and our new members that attended. It really showed them how involved we are as a chapter and it touched us all to be a part of such a great event.

Sister Spotlight Congratulations to Dani Prins on her engagement! She is getting married

Xi Late Show Two sisters have created their own radio show this semester called Xi Late Show. This show goes out live every Thursday from 8pm-9pm on the RAQ Radio Station (the student run radio station). Mckenzi Johnson and Ashley Konkel spend their Thursday nights talking about their lives, highlighting their favorite parts of Alpha Xi Delta, and playing their favorite music for all to hear.
