FOUNTAIN UNIVERSITY ORGANIZES SENDFORTH FOR 2013/2013 BATCH C CORP MEMBERS cont... University because there is always reward for doing good. Registrar chroni- cled the resumption of Corp members in Fountain University especially their first twenty-fours in Fountain University. He said first impression lasts longer because when the Corp members were posted to different sections of the University, some complained that they would be made to do a lot of work where they have been posted to. He advised them not to put up such attitude in the labour market because there are many competitors for the same posi- tions. He appreciated them for their contributions and told them that if it had been possible to engage all of them, the University would have done it. The Corp members sentforth were Mustapha Olayinka Alara, Adebisi Ahmad Kamaldeen, Adeleye Basirat Oyinda- mola, Akinpelu Sakirat Adekemi, Oyelekan Basirat Oyebola, Zainab Mohammed- Yusuf, Azeez Silifat Abisola, Alausa Mustapha Olanrewaju, Ojo Oluwatosin, Bukoye Adebola,, Jimoh Haola, Bello Khairat After all pieces of advice and eulogies, there was presentation of letter of recommendation and gifts to the Corp members anchored by Dr. Akinola L.S Reacting on behalf of Corp member, Mr. Ojo Oluwatosin thanked the University Management and Staff for being accommodating throughout their service year in Fountain University. He said the memory of Fountain University would for- ever linger in their brain. COUNCIL / MANAGEMENT NEWS FOUNTAIN UNIVERSITY ORGANIZES SENDFORTH FOR 2013/2013 BATCH C CORP MEMBERS The gesture of appreciation was again on the centre stage when FUO manage- ment under the leadership of the amiable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Bahir A. Raji organized a befitting sendforth ceremony for batch C Corp members to ap- preciate their meritorious service to the institution. Present at the ceremony were the University Librarian who double as the Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Gbadamosi B.O; Registrar, Alh. Olaerewaju M.O; Ag. Bursar, Alh. Alli-Balogun S.A; Dean, COMAS, Dr. Goke Lalude; Ag. Dean, CONAS, Dr. Bello O.B.; Assistant Chief Technologist, Alh. Adelaja B.A and members of staff. The University Librarian who stood in for the VC as the chairman of the occasion delivered a thought-provoking opening speech which centered on the assiduous and unparallel services rendered by the out-going Corp members. He said it was time for them to take stock of what they have done; those they have done well and where they have not, they should buckle up. He reiterated to them that National Youth service Corp (NYSC) is short but significant as it cannot be done without because organizations and companies will ask for its certificate. He reminded them that they are mirrors of their respective parents and institutions they graduated from. He encouraged them to have rugged deter- minations which can make them excel in life. He appreciated their contribu- tions to Fountain University and on behalf of the University Management, he thanked them for their services to the University. . Ag. Bursar, Deans and Heads of Departments took turn to eulogize the Corp members for their self- less contributions towards the growth of Fountain University and advised them to keep up the good character and attitude they showed in Fountain An Online Publication of Fountain University, Osogbo, Nigeria. Since it is a University pro- gramme, it becomes compulsory for all University community members to attend. With this, MMC has repackaged the programme which nows hold at eti- Osa lecture lecture theatre and features lectures, memory verses, films and slide shows. The first of it was held on 29 th October, 2013 and it witnessed a large turn-out of participants even though the hall could not all participants. This occurs to be a step in the right direction. COUNCIL / MANAGEMENT NEWS HONOUR TO WHOM IS DUE The Chancellor of Fountain University, Osogbo; Sheik (Dr.) Ahmed Lemu was honoured recently at Crescent University, Abeokuta with a Doctor of Philoso- phy (Honorari Causa) in Public Administration. This Internationally acclaimed Islamic Scholar was decorated with the award at the ceremony on Saturday 26 th , October, 2013. The award to Sheik Ahmed Lemu is a honour well de- served. Aside the fact that our highly referred Chancellor has excelled in the propagation of Islam for peaceful co-existence among people, he has been championing ethic integration in the country at large. Fountain University Osogbo is proud to be associated with this erudite Scholar, National peace seeker and astute believer in the ones of Nigeria. Congratulations once again. Fountain University as an institution is very young and therefore solicits for sup-port of all and sundry. The supports could be in terms of donating lecture rooms, staff offices, student centre, guest house, health centre, library building and equipment. Such donations could be named after the donor. The Glorious Quran calls on the affluent among you to donate and support noble course.
