For all musicians, there’s Lilan Kane’s two-part Workshop on “The Business of Good Promotion & Booking Gigs” (20 & 27); Alan Hall’s “How to Talk to Drummers” (6); Lee Brenkman’s “Crash Course in Sound Systems” (13); and “Alexander Technique” with Laura Klein (20).

For vocalists, we offer “Inside the Lyrics” with Ed Reed (6) and Danielle Wertz’s “Lead Sheet” Workshop (27). For pianists, Omree Gal-Oz’s “The Jazz Piano Style of Wynton Kelly” (27); Wendy DeWitt’s “Boogie Woogie Workshop” (13); and “Liberating The Pianist’s Left Hand” with Dave Meder (13). And for drummers, CJC offers “Different Shades of Jazz Drumming” with Alan Hall (6) and “The Art of the Drum Solo” with Jon Arkin (20).

October sees some special concerts featuring our own Mary D’Orazi and Marcos Silva with “A Taste of Brasil”(26); the Dann Zinn Group (25); and local favorite Clairdee (19). Plus our Way Out West and Electric Squeezebox Orchestra Concert Series, Vocal Jams and more!
