October Newsletter

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and that includes De-
cember at The Arlington Club. Our historic Arlington House
was beautifully decorated just before Thanksgiving by Santa’s
Elves AKA some of our longtime loyal and dedicated members.
Big thanks gals for coming out and making the House a winter
wonderland. The House is open Monday through Friday and
all members are welcome to drop in and see the decorations.
Our annual Christmas party is scheduled for December 13th. We have a wonderful menu along with a live band ,
open bar, and many fun prizes. Take a break from the holiday stress of decorating, shopping, and hosting family and
friends, and come enjoy a night out to celebrate the season.
In other news, our members have nominated three candidates to run for the single open seat on our Arlington
Board of Directors. Voting instructions will be mailed in early December. Thank you to our nominees for accepting
and all members who participated in this process. Results of the forthcoming election will be published in both the
January Newsletter and The Arlington Club website.

Manager: Find your Member # hidden somewhere in

Golf News Course Renovations
A few on course projects will be con-
ducted as weather permits through-
out the next few months. Most no-
ticeably will be our bunker renova-
tion on hole #7. Along with repair-
ing drainage, the plan will include
slightly repositioning the bunker and
extending the bunker deeper along-
side the green. This will aid in drain-
age and allow easier access for
maintenance equipment. This will
ultimately reduce wear and tear on
sensitive turf areas.
As we enter the holiday season and
everyone is looking for those great
Christmas deals, don’t forget to
shop at your Arlington Pro Shop!!
We have many great items in stock
and can even help you custom or-
der any special golf gift. For those
hard-to-buy-for golfers, The Arling-
ton Club has also created Club Gift
Cards. These gift cards can be used
not only in the golf
shop, but also in
the Paddock Bar
& Grill.
1.) Titleist Golf Balls
2.) Bushnell Range Finders
3.) Ping G30
4.) Under Armour Apparel
5.) FootJoy Golf Shoes
Finally, as we round out 2014 we will be planning our 2015 golf calendar. Any member
who has suggestions on current or new tournament formats are wel-come to email their ideas to our Golf Professional Kalen Boone at
[email protected] or the General Manager Todd Christian at [email protected]. We
look forward to an exciting 2015 golf season!

Prep Time: 20 min Total Time: 1 hour 10 min Servings 12
Ingredients 2/3 cup granulated sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon 4 cans Pillsbury™ Refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuits 10 tablespoons butter 1 cup packed brown sugar Directions
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease or spray 12-cup fluted tube pan.
Mix granulated sugar and cin-namon in 1-gallon bag. Separate dough into biscuits; cut each in quarters (a pizza wheel works really well for this).
Shake biscuit quarters in bag to coat; place in pan. Sprinkle any ex-tra sugar mixture over biscuits.
In 1-quart saucepan, bring but-ter and brown sugar to boiling over medium-high heat; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour over biscuit quarters.
Bake 30 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Turn upside down; pull apart to serve.
