October / Octubre 28, 2018 Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time | Trigésimo Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario

On behalf of the Confirmation team here at St. peters, we truly appreciate the kindness of every member within our community and a

special thanks to the members of the Saturday evening Mass. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming to the new students who are on the path

to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. We are extremely grateful, and as we start with a new group of

Confirmandis, we have already seen that Fellowship transition into the classroom as well. With new

friendships being made it has become much easier to share the word of God to the youth. They arrive every

weekend knowing that they have a place they are welcomed and cared for. We have made many memories

and will soon update our bulletin board with pictures taken of our classroom to share with you all. We ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers as we continue

to keep this wonderful community in our prayers. -Jessy Villalobos

En nombre del equipo de Confirmación aquí en

San Pedro, apreciamos sinceramente la amabilidad de cada miembro de nuestra comunidad y un

agradecimiento especial a los miembros de la misa del Sábado por la noche. Todos han sido muy amables y acogedores con los nuevos estudiantes que asisten el

camino para recibir el Sacramento de la Confirmación. Estamos extremadamente agradecidos, y al comenzar con un nuevo grupo de Confirmandis, ya hemos visto que la beca de transición en el aula también. Con la

creación de nuevas amistades, se ha vuelto mucho más fácil compartir la palabra de Dios con los jóvenes.

Llegan cada fin de semana sabiendo que tienen un lugar adonde son bienvenidos y cuidados. Hemos creado muchos recuerdos y pronto actualizaremos nuestro

tablero de anuncios con fotos tomadas de nuestra clase para compartir con todos ustedes. Les pedimos que continúe manteniéndonos en sus oraciones mientras

continuamos manteniendo esta maravillosa comunidad en nuestras oraciones.

Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time: In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus asks Bartimaeus: “What do you want me to do for you?” And he answers, “Master, I want to see.” Let us ask Jesus for the grace to “see” our brothers and sisters who are poor and lonely. This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to bring God’s love and mercy to families, providing food, utility, rent and other bills. God Bless You!

Trigésimo Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario: En el Evangelio de este Domingo, Jesús le pregunta a Bartimeo: “¿Qué quieres que haga por ti?” Y él responde: “Maestro, quiero ver”. Pidamos a Jesús la gracia de “ver” a nuestros hermanos y hermanas que son pobres y están solos. Recycling Fundraiser for the Religious Education & Youth Ministries

We will be collecting beverage cans, beverage plastic bottles and beverage glass bottles the

weekend of November 17 & 18. Volunteers will be available before the 6:00 pm Mass on

Saturday, the 9:00 am Mass and the 12:00 pm Mass on Sunday to take your beverage containers.

Please help us by sorting the beverage containers by glass, plastic and cans at home.

We will NOT be able to accept any other recyclable materials. Thank you!
