Mayor Ron Strouse graduated from Central Bucks High School, before the

high schools split in 1969. He said his English literature class was a catalyst

in his interest of historical fiction. As Mayor, he continues to share his

passion for history as he is invited into the 2nd grade classrooms in our

local elementary schools to talk to about how students can get involved in

local government. He is especially proud that the bike and hike system

around Kutz ES, which was the result of one of these classroom meetings he

had 20 years ago.

Did you know? Local folklore around town states Ron and some of his

peers were instrumental in placing the rock that is now in front of CB West

HS. He says he had no idea it would create the tradition of "painting the

rock" that still lives on with the students of Central Bucks.
