Adrian Zappala, PhD, is an experienced higher education faculty member and leadership professional
with demonstrated expertise in accreditation, program development, faculty oversight, educator
preparation and adult and distance education. His management and leadership experiences have
been focused within forward-thinking educational organizations embracing modern concepts of
work-life balance
Andrea Howe is the co-author, with Charles H. Green, of The Trusted Advisor Fieldbook: A
Comprehensive Toolkit for Leading with Trust and the founder of The Get Real Project. A veteran
consultant, seminar leader, and speaker, Andrea specializes in serving global professional services
firms. She addresses strategic topics such as customer intimacy, client loyalty, the dynamics of
influence, and developing business with trust. She is also a firm believer in the power of laughter and
shared risk-taking. Andrea holds an MS in Organization Development from the American
University/NTL program.
Angie Keister is an Organization Effectiveness Consultant for Allstate Insurance Company, she is a
passionate OD practitioner and leadership & change coach with 10 years of experience in
Organizational Development. She has been an internal OD consultant for firms in manufacturing,
health care, and insurance industries. She is certified as a Professional Coach, through the
International Coach Federation and a recent graduate of the Organization Development Doctoral
program at Benedictine University.
Alan Lund was born and raised in Birkenhead, England, and now lives in beautiful British Columbia
with his wife and two children. He has an MA from Cambridge University and an MBA from the

Aubrey Saunders has been involverd in manufacturing/operations for W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc.,
for over 30 years. His experiences have ranged from manufacturing operator to manufacturing
leadership . He has internalized insights provided from the very unique work environment within W.
L. Gore & Associates, Inc. Those insights have enabled him to be intimately involved in strategic and
tactical organization-wide and plant-level diversity efforts. Aubrey participates in and has also helped
establish several of the organization Diversity Affinity Networks.
B. Kim Barnes, CEO of Barnes & Conti Associates, Inc., has over 30 years of experience in leadership
and organization development, working globally with organizations in many industries. A frequent
speaker at professional conferences, Kim has published many articles in professional journals and
books and is the developer or co-developer of popular Barnes & Conti programs such as Exercising

Barbara Benedict Bunker is an organizational social psychologist and Professor of Psychology
Emeritus at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Her research and writing interests are diverse but focus
in the area of organizational change and organizational effectiveness. Bunker with her colleague
Billie Alban has become nationally and internationally known for her work systematizing a number of
new methods of organization and community change that work at the systems level. She has written
extensively about them as well as used them in her own practice.
Bill Treasurer is a leadership expert and the originator of the new organizational development
practice of courage-building. He is also the author of several books, including the international
bestseller Courage Goes to Work. Bill is the chief encouragement officer at Giant Leap Consulting, a
courage-building company that helps people and organizations live more courageously. Bill has
conducted more than five hundred corporate workshops designed to strengthen people's leadership
skills and improve team performance. He has led workshops for Accenture, SPANX, CDC, NASA, and
Center for Creative Leadership.
Bruce Mabee, MS, CPLP, applies innovation to OD. He created a dozen OD tools in consulting 125
organizations over 35 years--half the client work continuing 5-10 years. He also trained over 1000
managers and professionals in Consulting Skills and served for ten years as evaluator in OD Network

Cary Paul is "The Get Real Project's" Chief Improv Officer, and co-founder of The Village Circle
Company. He is recognized as an expert in creating and delivering training programs and workshops
that are energetic and innovative. In college, Cary worked as Davy Crockett at Disney World, giving
him a unique opportunity to hone his entertainment/service talents. Cary also has 18+ years of
experience leading public sector teams and Fortune 500 companies through strategic planning and
change management efforts. Cary has an MBA in Organization Development and IT from George
Washington University.
Catherine M. Volk has been associated with The Kaleel Jamison Consulting Group since 1997 and
currently serves as Vice President and Corporate Counsel. A skilled and experienced presenter,
Catherine combines a unique perspective across professions with managerial experience, strong
organizational skills, legal expertise, and an ability to partner with clients, consultants, and Firm
members. Catherine received her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
Charissa Tan received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Singapore and a
masters degree in Music therapy from the University of Philadelphia. She has worked as a
psychologist in the Singapore Ministry of Defence and as a music therapist with terminal cancer
patients in a hospital. Currently, a FedEx psychologist interested in organization effectiveness,
employee performance and the importance of meaningful work. She blends her past therapy
experience with her knowledge and experience of organization psychology in her current work.
Choon-Neo Siow, PhD, CPsychol (BPS) has a PhD degree in psychology from the University of
Nottingham, UK. She started her career as a psychologist in the Singapore Ministry of Defense in
1983 covering assessment, field (OD) psychology and survey research. She has worked for FedEx,
APac for the last 20 years and currently holds a position as a managing director in HR overseeing
talent and performance management, training, org effectiveness and development. Her latest work
includes re-energizing trainers and re-strategizing the learning and development function, and re-
vitalizing person-to-person relationships to improve the organization's ability to serve with a human
touch.
Cynthia S. Miller, PhD, is the Director of the Learning Network for Roche’s Biologics Business,
supporting manufacturing, quality and supply chain employees in ten locations around the globe.

She was instrumental in designing and launching the global training network for Roche Pharma
Technical Operations following the merger with Genentech. Earlier in her career, Cindy established
led large training networks at Amgen, Home Savings of America and Household Bank. She holds
degrees from Georgetown and Fielding Graduate University.
Dr. David Drake is founder of the field of narrative coaching and creator of the Narrative Design Labs.
He teaches this work around the world, building bridges between the academic and the applied. David
has supported large coaching-based change projects for organizations like Nike, Commonwealth Bank,
PwC, BHP Billiton and the US federal government. He is the author of 35 publications on narratives
and coaching, and editor of Philosophy and Practice of Coaching (2008, Jossey-Bass). His next book will
be Coaching and Organizational Culture: A Narrative Perspective (Routledge).
Dr. David W. Jamieson is Associate Professor & Department Chair, Organization Learning &
Development, College of Education, Leadership & Counseling at the University of St. Thomas. He is also
President of the Jamieson Consulting Group, Inc. and a Distinguished Visiting Scholar in other OD
programs. He has 40 years of experience consulting to organizations on leadership, change, strategy,
design and human resource issues. He is a Past National President of the American Society for Training
and Development (1984) and Past Chair of the Management Consultation Division and Practice Theme
Committee.
Dick Axelrod co-founded the Axelrod Group, Inc., a consulting firm that pioneered using employee
involvement to effect large-scale change. His clients include Boeing, British Airways, Coca-Cola,
Novartis, and the UK’s National Health Service. Dick is faculty at American University and the University
of Chicago. Dick authored Terms of Engagement: New Ways of Leading and Changing Organizations,
and co-authored, You Don’t Have to Do It Alone: How to Involve Others to Get Things Done. Dick
received the University of Chicago’s Teaching Excellence award and ODN’s Lifetime Achievement
Award.
Emily Axelrod Emily Axelrod co-founded the Axelrod Group, Inc. For more than thirty years she has
used coaching, strategic visioning, work redesign, team development, and good old common sense to
build sustainable, fun, and dignified enterprises. Her clients include: Boeing, British Airways, Calgary
Health Authority, Intel, and Kaiser Permanente. Emily co-authored You Don't Have to Do It Alone, and

Faye Wilson, is the current Board President for the Frank Bette Center for the Arts. Prior to
retirement, Faye was the Executive Director for the Gilmore Foundation. Since retirement she stays
busy contributing to her favorite organizations. She has been Board President for the Center for the
past three years.
Dr. Gail Sacconey Townsend consults and teaches in the private sector, is an organization
development specialist at W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc., and is adjunct faculty at the University of
Delaware. She is focused on individual growth, team development, organization change, strategic
planning, and building multicultural organizations. She is a graduate of the American University/NTL
Masters in OD Program and has earned her doctorate in Human and Organization Systems from
Fielding Graduate University. She is also a proud mother and grandmother!
Gail Todaro, Ph.D. manages a virtual team of organization development consultants at Lockheed
Martin Space Systems Company in Sunnyvale, CA. She has insights into the challenges, obstacles and
triumphs of creating a more positive work environment and encourages stronger business
performance regardless of distance. Gail's doctorate is in Organizational Behavior and she has over 20
years of senior level OD and experience in aerospace and high tech industries both as an internal and
external consultant.
Ilene Wasserman, founder and President of ICW Consulting, has been an Organization Development
Consultant for over 25 years. Dr. Wasserman specializes in helping leaders and teams design and
implement strategies through collaborative practices that leverage domestic and global diversity, as
well as positional and personal dimensions. She combines a strengths-based approach to leadership
development, organizational strategy transformation and fostering diversity and inclusion. Dr.

Isabelle Suares, MA, is the senior manager at Cisco Systems and manages a Change

James Sykes has lived the transformation of Storywork. Raised in a single parent home as the
youngest of eight, his drug addiction led him to prison for first-degree murder. After teaching himself
to read and write, he entered an inmate recovery program that was the start of his transforming his
own story. His natural talents led to his becoming a mentor to inmates, which he did for 9 years while
serving out his term. Upon release, he got a job as a monitor in a homeless facility. VOALA
recognized his abilities as an influential Storywork Coach and Facilitator, which is his current role.
Jeffrey Courion currently serves as the Director of the Oral History and Storywork Program at
Volunteers of America. He has been an LA County Delinquency & Crime Commissioner, a public policy
advisor to the Governor of California, a mediator for cultural diversity and racial conflict retained by
the LA City Attorney's Office, and an OD practitioner helping to transform and democratize the lives
and governance of organizations. His work at VOALA is transforming lives and communities, and
freeing people from the poverty created by their externally imposed stories.
Jenna Susanke works with leaders to diagnose and deliver solutions to grow their talent and
business. For the past year, my focus was on building a culture of innovation and helping my
organization transition its operating model. I am currently responsible for the organizational
development strategies for the PepsiCo's good-for-you business units, the Global Innovation Groups,
and the Global Marketing Function. Prior to joining PepsiCo, I consulted with clients undergoing

Jim MacQueen has practiced OD on five continents in more than a dozen countries. Over the past 25
years, he has worked with Fortune 500 corporations (HP, Visa, Caterpillar, Adobe, etc.), government
agencies, universities, nonprofits and small businesses. Internally, he has worked in health care, for
NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and currently serves on the AP faculty at Virginia Tech. Jim did
undergraduate study at the Drama Division of the Juilliard School and at the University of Washington
where he also did graduate work. In 2005, he was honored by the BAODN as a Master Practitioner.
Joan Goppelt, PhD. has over 25 years’ experience in leadership development, organizational change,
software development, and project management. In 2008, she co-founded Act Too Consulting, Inc.,
which provides organization development and research services to a variety of clients. Joan has a
bachelor’s degree in mathematics, a master’s degree in computer science, and a doctor of philosophy
degree in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University. Her interests include

Dr. Kathy Hart is owner of ClearVision Consulting, global company that dramatically accelerates

experience in the OD and Risk Management fields, Kathy brings a unique understanding of the
business and human dynamics faced by executives and leaders in competitively positioning their

Kathy Kaya, PhD, is a scholar-practitioner whose work focuses on fostering just whole-person work

Keith Ray, PhD, has over 20 years of experience in organization development, organizational
research, strategic change, project management, software development, and systems engineering. In
2008, he co-founded Act Too Consulting, Inc., which provides organization development and research
services to a variety of clients. Keith has a bachelor’s degree in physics and a doctor of philosophy
degree in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University. Keith’s interests are

Lisa Kimball produces high engagement experiences for stakeholders in large-scale change efforts.

Maria Odiamar Racho, MSOD, is an Organization Effectiveness Consultant at Allstate Insurance. She
has been practicing OD for 7 years and is most passionate about community building, organization
engagement, culture, and diversity and inclusion. Maria is involved in non-profits, such as the
Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA) “ Chicago as a board member and as a pro-bono OD

Marianne (Molly) Kaufmann is the Talent & Organization Development Manager for a Seattle area

Scott Bristol, PhD, is a Lecturer in Interpersonal Dynamics at Stanford University, Graduate School of
Business. His corporate and educational work focuses on the intersection of values, emotions, and
"languaging" as they influence interpersonal effectiveness within small groups. Scott teaches
facilitators and leaders how to use these concepts to mobilize the potential of human diversity. In the
past 30 years, he has worked in many different organizations and cultures as a teacher, leader,
counselor, consultant, and author to influence change at the individual, group, and organization
levels.
Scott Tannenbaum During his 25 years as a scientist-practitioner, Dr. Tannenbaum has served as a
tenured business school professor and currently leads The Group for Organizational Effectiveness
(gOE), a boutique consulting firm that has provided OD and research support to over 400
organizations, including 75 Global 1000 companies. His has over 60 publications, 100+ presentations,
5 research/teaching awards, and been cited over 6000 times. He was named a Fellow of SIOP and the
Association for Psychological Science, reviewed for over 20 journals, and served as lead investigator
on many research projects.
Sharon Liu, EdD, has been a consultant for over 20 years in Health Sciences Software applications and
as a change management expert for the last 10 years. Sharon has an MBA and EdD from Pepperdine
University in Organization Change and has presented her work internationally.
Shawn Westfall is the driving force behind the improv comedy school at the well-known DC Improv
in Washington, DC, where he teaches beginning improv, advanced short-form and long-form improv,
and more. Shawn's classes and their performance shows are regularly sold out six months in advance.
Shawn has also performed improv all over the country, most notably at the DC Improv and the
Upright Citizens Brigade (UBC) Theatre in NYC. Shawn has also taught improv as a bona fide business

Steve McGee is a leadership and organization development consultant specializing in Agile
management adoption. A graduate of Temple University Japan MBA program, Steve is formally
trained and experienced with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, in the Prosci change management
methodology, and applications of the MBTI assessment. Before returning in San Francisco in 2009,
Steve spent six years in Japan starting a cross-cultural communication consulting practice in Tokyo
that specialized in developing the skills of high-potential leaders in Japan to become effective at
working with foreign management and clients.
Steven Schapiro, PhD, has been on the faculty of the Fielding Graduate University for 10 years. His
areas of focus are transformative learning, social justice education, gender studies and adult learning.
Prior to joining FGU, Dr. Shapiro served on the faculty of Goddard College and was a member of the
State of Vermont Anti-Racism Study Group.
Steven E. Wallis, earned his MA in OD from Sonoma State and his PhD from Fielding Graduate
University. He teaches at Capella University and serves as a mentor to doctoral candidates. Steve has
a decade of experience as an organizational development consultant in Northern California and his
scholarly writings have appeared in a variety of academic books and journals. He also serves as
director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Social Theory supporting scholars and
practitioners seeking improvements in the social sciences. His recent book, Avoiding Policy Failure is a
step forward.
Susan W. Coleman works with individuals, groups or the whole system to resolve differences,
develop people and build common ground. In the last 25 years, she has worked with The United
Nations worldwide, American Express, the Government of Colombia, US Departments of State,
Agriculture and NASA, and others. Coleman is currently a partner of C Global Consulting, a firm in
New York City that specializes in conflict management, leadership development and organizational
change. Her writings have addressed teaching conflict resolution skills, women and negotiation, and
culture and conflict.
Susan Stewart After 15 years of experience in livelihoods development, Susan transitioned into OD in
1997. She has lived on 3 continents and facilitated in 20 countries across multiple sectors and
communities. Her dual passions are whole system transformative shifts and individual growth and
development. Susan joined the CCL APAC faculty as an associate in 2010. She leads an OD consulting
firm in Myanmar (Burma) working with organizations, networks and communities to co-create and
facilitate their strategic change initiatives. She is a coordinating committee member of the Myanmar
and Asian OD Networks.

Terrence L. Gargiulo, MMHS, is an eight times author, international speaker, organizational
development consultant and group process facilitator specializing in the use of stories. He holds a
Master of Management in Human Services from the Florence Heller School, at Brandeis University,
and is a recipient of Inc. Magazine's Marketing Master Award, the 2008 HR Leadership Award from
the Asia Pacific HRM Congress, and is a member of Brandeis University’s athletic Hall of Fame. He has
appeared on Fox TV, CN8, and on CNN radio among others.
Tiffany von Emmel, PhD, is a Group Facilitator in Interpersonal Dynamics at Stanford University,
Graduate School of Business. A trailblazer in practitioner education, Tiffany has, for 30 years, focused
on mobilizing diversity for an interconnected world through leadership labs, somatic psychology,
interactive arts, and service learning. She has coached and trained OD consultants, technologists,
doctors, and communities in Africa, Europe and U.S. Tiffany founded Dreamfish, a livelihood
development network based in Kenya that served entrepreneurs from disadvantaged communities in
26 countries.
Ton Voogt is an MSc. in Psychology at the Radboud University in Nijmegen in the Netherlands in
1973. He is qualified as an official registered health psychologist. Starting in 1983 till 1998 he
contributed as a CEO of a European training institute, Schouten & Nelissen. Till 2011 he held the chair
for Innovation. He acted too as an OD consultant and designed European wide in-company projects
on leadership development. He is familiar with the Dialogical Self approach. His focus now is on
cooperation improvement in organizations and leadership development.
Trevor Maber is an Assistant Professor at the Edwards School of Business (University of
Saskatchewan) and is pursuing a PhD in Human and Organizational Systems with Fielding Graduate
University while maintaining a consulting practice and actively contributing to the online TED-ED
initiative. He holds a Masters in Leadership & Training, Bachelor of Commerce, and CHRP designation.
He is a Crucial Conversations facilitator, MBTI® administrator and Expedition Coaching trainer, with
additional training in Appreciative Coaching, Organizational Diagnosis, the Art of Hosting, & Non-
Violent Communication.
Valerie Davis-Howard MBA Valerie Davis-Howard joined The Kaleel Jamison Consulting Group, Inc., in
1998 and currently serves as Vice President and Senior Consultant. She specializes in developing the
internal competencies and organizational capabilities necessary to leverage Inclusion as the HOW®
for higher performance. A frequent speaker at national conferences, Valerie has published articles on
diversity and culture change.

William Dettmer In addition to his graduate schooling, Bill Dettmer has 23 years active duty in the Air
Force as a B-52 pilot, logistics planner, and military civic actions chief. Seven years adjunct teaching in
the MSSM program for the University of Southern California Institute of Safety and Systems
Management. Management consultant since 1996, specializing in constraint management, complex
systems problem solving, and system strategy development and deployment. Author/co-author of
seven books on constraint management and logical thinking in systems analysis.
Yael Schy is a leader in using expressive arts in organizational learning and development. She is
principal of Dramatic Strides® Consulting, specializing in leadership development, communication
skills, teambuilding, strategic planning, and creative decision-making techniques that help people
move forward together "by leaps and bounds." Yael brings a unique perspective by combining 20
years of management experience with her background in improvisational theater and dance, and
somatic coaching, to create dynamic interpersonal skills training, coaching, and consulting in the
workplace.
