FACTORS FOR PRIORITY SECTOR GROWTH

Agriculture 1.20 lakh new farmers were financed during 2019-20 under PM Kisan Saturation.1.16 lakh new term loans were issued which included Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) with highest number of Sanctions in Karnataka. 570 (₹ 7.10Cr)

MSME 0.80 lakh entrepreneurs were financed.Customer Outreach Programme & single window meeting paved the way.

Belagavi (SHG's -Vadagaon & Shahpur, FPO's Kakati)

SHG's financed by Banks were interacted by the Committee and theirfunctioning, Income generating activities, financial support, Increase inIncome, way forward were discussed. District Administration throughNRLM/NULM provided support to SHG's. FPO's from Kakati wereinteracted wherein they are collecting the Farm Produce from thefarmers directly and selling to consumers thereby increase in theincome without middlemen. FPO purchased mobile storage unit inconvergence with Horticulture Dept.

MSME Chikkodi (Borgaon Textile Park)

Textile Park was established in 2018, wherein 10 Units are functionaland 15 are under progress. Committee interacted with theenterpreneurs who expressed satisfaction about the support extendedby Govt. Here employment is locally available. The enterpreneurs aswell as the committe also expressed their view on manufacturing ofmachinery within India (Atmanirbharata), instead of getting from othercountries.

Agriculture & Allied

Raibag (Hatcheries)

The poultry hatcheries unit having production capacity of 9 LakhsChiks per Month, generating employment for 350 persons, wasinteracted by the committee. The unit has increased turnover upto 80Cr per annum. The Unit expressed satisfaction and thanked for thesupport extended by Govt., administration and Bank FPO at Chikodiinteracted with the Committee and explained the progress.

➢ Accounts were opened for all the beneficiaries. 94853 beneficiaries got benefit for an amount of Rs34.14 cr since beginning.

Pradhan Manthri KisanSamman

During 2019-20, 531817 beneficiaries, Rs.315.42 Cr paidto farmers by DBT.

Pradhan Manthri Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)

Achieved 4 times of the Target during 2019-20 and stands in First Position in Karnataka State.


Special Focus on Weaker Sections

➢ SHGs were concentrated for inclusion under NRLM / NULM and mobilising forcredit linkage. Many workshops for training the staff, awareness programmes invillages were conducted with a view to attain saturation.

➢ With special focus on Small and Marginal farmers in availing investment loans,IECs were conducted through Banks, FLCC, Line departments there by focussing ondoubling of income.

➢ Rural Housing through PMAY-G will be implemented for providing the bestamenities involving all stake holders.

➢ Provisions available to SC /ST / Minorities were delivered effectively underrespective departments and financing for establishment of new units.

➢ Atal Pension Yojana (APY) : Achieved 79% ( 6520 enrolments) in APY CitizensChoice Campaign (Feb to Mar 2020) Highest in Karnataka State.

➢ Training Centre: RSETI sponsored by Canara Bank , 32 trainings, 817 candidates during2019-20 and 515 trainings, 16048 candidates since inception. Of which 12233 candidatessettled successfully in their activities.

➢ Business Correspondents: 1367 Business Correspondents were regulated forproviding services to rural customers.


Achievement in PSA due to

➢ District Coordination meetings with all Banks and Line Departments.

➢ Single Window Clearance Meeting for MSMEs

➢ Immediate Sanction / Disbursal of loans by Banks within 10 days for applications cleared in Single Window Meeting.

➢ Formation of FPOs and encourging them to directly sell the produce.

➢ Frequent IEC activities conducted wrt various sectors like Customer Outreach Programme, Job Melas, Housing loan campaigns etc

➢ All Banks were involved in credit dispensation including PACS which helped to reach the last mile connectivity.

Plan to cover products under by various Banks. (Jaggery, Turmeric, Milk Products etc) through Farmers Producer Organisation.

Agriculture Infrastructure

Fund

Godowns for 352 PACS (145 under process amounting to ₹ 33 Cr.) Planning for Godowns, Cold Storages and Infrastructure activities for FPOs, entrepreneurs etc through Bank Finance.

KCC & Term Loans

Covering 100% Farmers under KCC (Crop, AH, Fisheries); Encouraging investment credit for doubling of income.

MSME ECLGS: 100% disbursements for all eligible accounts.PMSVANIDHI: 100% Coverage of Street Vendors

PMAY Target to cover 30% growth over previous year.

Annual Credit Plan

Surpassing Targets of PSA (₹15256 Crs ) & Total Credit (₹17052 Crs ) utilising all the resources effectively.

FPO's 25 new FPO's will be formed in the district during the year involving respective departments and providing Credit to all the existing eligible FPO's.
