Notice To Exhibitors

All judging will be indoors. This is a two-ring trial.

Bring your own chairs.

Crating space is limited. Unentered dogs may be asked to leave.

No ex-pens. No dogs under 4 months of age on show grounds.

Flooring restrictions: Protective padding is required under all chairs and wire crates. No

high-heeled shoes.

Dogs will be arranged in jump height order “tall to small” for both obedience and rally.

Please include your jump height on your entry form.

Rally ring size is 40 x 50.

There will be no smoking in the building. Please dispose of trash in the proper manner.

Clean up after your dog. Anyone observed not doing so will be asked to leave the trial

immediately. There will be no refund.

Free admission/Free parking. Parking is to be on blacktop ONLY.

The judge is not required to wait for dogs. It is the responsibility of the owner or handler to

have the dog at ringside when required and without being called.

Transfers will be permitted for both Obedience and Rally in accordance with Obedience

Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 16. The request for a transfer must be in writing and

presented to the Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial.

All dogs present must be on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged.

Catalogs will be available for $5.00 each.

Complimentary coffee and donuts will be available prior to judging.

Lunch will be available to exhibitors for a $7.00 donation

to Sheltie Rescue

From North PA:

From Route 30 take 83 South.

Take route 74 South for about 6.5 miles through Dallastown and into Red Lion to a stop light.

Take a right onto Route 24 South.

Go through first red light onto Felton Road (note: at the light there is a Rutters Farm store on your right and an Ace Hardware Store across the street on the right).

Go about 1/2 mile on Felton Road to the Landscape Company-Garden Center on the left.

Immediately after the Garden Center (it will look like it is PART of the Garden Center, there is a row of pine trees on your right), take a left onto the road.

Go 1/4 mile down the driveway behind the Garden Center past the house to the Green and White building. It is the only building back there--you will run straight into it.

From Baltimore:

Take I-83 North into PA.

Take Exit 4--the first exit in PA.

From this point it will be about 12 miles and 20 minutes to the building.

At the end of the ramp take a left onto Main Street (this is Shrewsbury).

Go about 1/2 mile to second light (Walmart and McDonalds up the hill on left, Chick-Fil-A on Right).

Take a right at this light onto Mt. Airy Rd.

Go about 1.5 miles on Mt Airy to first stop sign.

Take a Right onto Plank Rd.

Go about 1.5 miles on Plank Road and then take a LEFT onto Mt. Olivet Road (new Church on left and older white and red church on Right corner).

Go about 4 miles on Mt. Olivet Rd to first stop sign.

Take a right onto Route 216 EAST--go about 25 yards then…

Take left onto Route 24 North

Go about 4 miles on Rt. 24 North to the first stop light (Rutters Farm store on left and Ace Hardware on the right).

Take right at the light onto Felton Road--the overhead sign says Main Street.

Go about 1/2 miles on Felton Road to The Landscape Company/Garden Center on the left.

Immediately after the Garden Center (it will look like it is part of the Garden center), take a left onto a wide driveway.

You will actually be going behind the Garden Center--Pine trees on your right.

Go 1/4 mile down the driveway until you run into the Training facility.

Please note: You must pay the fee for the first entry of the dog in EACH trial, even though they are on the same day, as they are considered separate events.

UDX & RAE entries:

Additional Entry Information

If you would like to know the status of your entry, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope or postcard with your entry. E-mail confirmations will be sent as soon as the entry is processed. Just include your (legible) e-mail address on the entry form.

Telegraph, telephone and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on an official AKC entry form and photocopies of entry forms without agreement and rules on the back of the official AKC entry form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Entries received without fees will not be accepted.

Returned checks or declined credit cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $30 collection fee to the amount of each returned check.

PLEASE make your entries correct and legible. Illegible entries cannot be processed and will be returned to the exhibitor. Owners/Agents are responsible for errors on entry forms. (Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 6). Each Owner/Agent listed on the entry form and/or individual responsible for the dog at the show is bound by the Certification and Agreement on the front and back of the entry form regardless of who may have completed and submitted the form.

An AKC Recording Fee of $.50 first entry only and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 per entry will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50 will be required for each first entry, $3.00 for each additional entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. All Recording and Event Service Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. There is no Recording Fee or Event Service Fee for Junior Showmanship, Sweepstakes, Futurities, Brace/Team, Multi-Dog Classes or Special Attractions. (Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2)

Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, or excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the show giving club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refunds will be made.

REFUND POLICY: Bitches in season are not permitted to compete in obedience or rally trials. The club will refund 50% of the entry fee for bitches in season that are unable to compete for that reason. Refund requests must be accompanied by a dated, signed letter on official business letterhead from your veterinarian stating the reason that your dog cannot compete. The Trial Secretary must be notified no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class in the trial. E-mails, phone calls and non-letterhead notes will not be considered.

It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. The host club, Clantyre Show Secretary Services and its agents, employees, etc. will assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children.

Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club in efect at the time of this event, and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list ofthis event and entry form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. INSTRUCTIONS

1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
