FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK:

Hi All, I hope this newsletter finds you all doing

well. I’ll start by saying I am a little somber on

one hand and a little happy on the other. The

somberness comes into play when I see people

work so hard for the club and feel their efforts

were for nothing. I am somber because we have

lost so many good exhibitors in this state over

the last 2 years for silly and petty things. I am

somber because so many people take things to

heart when a simple definition or question could

resolve an issue that has become out of control.

Very many friendships have been lost over the

last couple years due to many petty issues. It is

time to place the differences aside and move

on.

Now on the other hand I am very gratified to all

the people who have stayed true to the LRBA

and continue to fight to keep the club running.

While so many out there want the club to go

under, you guys are the ones fighting daily doing

everything you can looking beyond the non-

sense to keep moving forward. I was always told

to “always go forward and never go backwards”.

With the state meeting coming upon us in

March, I challenge everyone to look past all the

mockery and get things back to the way it was.

We have many items on the agenda to discuss.

We have so many good exhibitors out there in

La. We have been divided for a long time and it

is time to come together and become a unit

again. Several of our local clubs have put on

great shows this years, a big thanks to you guy’s.

Memorial Day Weekend show is coming up, we







have a great judges lineup. I ask all to please

attend and support the LRBA wherever you feel

you can be valuable. A little help and

appreciation goes a long way. As always, if I can

do anything to help any of you, my phone is

always on.

The annual meeting will be here before we know it. I hope you are all planning to attend and take part in not only planning our upcoming events but also stepping up to help in some way with the club. There are many positions to be decided upon at the meeting from President to Historian. Have you ever stopped to think what would happen if absolutely no one stepped up for these positions? After the last few years, it could at some point become a reality. Just something for us all to ponder!! If you are interested in possibly taking a position, please take the time to know exactly what would be expected of you and express your interest at the meeting. Thank you to everyone who has stepped up and helped at our events this year. It is greatly appreciated. Just a reminder that club affiliations are due by March 1st.
