Where such maximum is fixed at a figurebelow the contract price, the supplier shall be paidsuch a maximum price.

7. Apart from the above exception, no increase in _the tendered price will be allowed during the periodofthe contract.

_ 3. Qualifications.—A recognised degree or diplomain mining engineering plus two years post-graduateexperience.

4. Duties.—Guidance, control and inspection ofmines. Enforcement and observance of Safety andMining Regulations, Minerals Ordinance andancillary legislations. Maintenance of official re-cords relating to the mining industry, and prepara~tion of technical reports on mining and mineralprospects.

5. Conditions.—({i) The post is not pensionablefor overseas officers ; contract appointment will befor two years, each of not less than 18 months andnot more than 24 months’ duration in the firstinstance, subject to renewal.

(#) When an officer is occupying GovernmentQuarters, rent is payable at the rate of 83 per centof the officer’s salary subject to a maximum of £150per annum.
