Plascoat provides the Oil and Gas industry with a range of high performance coating powders for pipelines, field joints, pipe bends, buckle arrestors and custom fittings.

Plascoat high performance polyolefin coating powders can be applied in the factory or on-site. Typically it is the welded joints that carry the greatest risk of corrosion-related failure when pipes are connected due to incompatible top coat technologies.

Plascoat Oil and Gas coating powders are engineered to closely match the pipe body coating - ensuring that Plascoat coatings will fuse to form a homogeneous bond with the pipe coating to minimise the risk of corrosion.

Pipe bends, field joints and fittings can now be flame sprayed in just minutes

Plascoat PP10 can be flame sprayed onto FBE, liquid epoxy or directly over steel. The ability to flame spray PP10 makes it the material of choice whether coating in the field or in a factory. Some of the advantages PP10 can offer are:

• High continuous pipeline operating temperatures (up to 110°C)

• High build thickness• Increased transfer efficiency for less wastage

Plascoat PP20 has been developed to deliver long lasting corrosion protection for pipelines, with a high Vicat of 130°C for increased operating temperatures. Plascoat PP20 can be applied by sintering, flock or fluidised bed.

Both Plascoat PE09 and PE10 have been formulated to deliver outstanding corrosion protection at sub-zero temperatures. PE09 has been engineered to meet the DIN 30670 N-type specification and PE10 has been designed to meet the DIN 30670 S-type specification.

Plascoat PE09 and PE10 can be applied by sintering, flock or fluidised bed.

Plascoat L.E.S™(Low Energy System)

Plascoat L.E.S™ is a complete field joint and fittings coating system for polypropylene 3 layer coated pipes. The system includes a liquid epoxy primer followed by a Plascoat PP10 top coat.

The easy-to-use epoxy will provide excellent anti-corrosion performance and the PP10 layer will provide excellent mechanical protection. PP10 will also fuse to the polypropylene on the pipe body forming a homogeneous top coat.

Plascoat L.E.S™ only requires heat after the liquid epoxy has been applied thus reducing overall energy costs.

The Roughcoat range has been designed to produce a highly-textured top layer increasing friction on the pipeline’s external surface.
