• Employees who are enabled to work remotely must continue to do so

o As the country is still experiencing a high number of infections every day, people’s

health remains at risk

• We will continue to prioritise the IT enablement of those colleagues who can’t work

remotely

• Employees who are required to work on-site, will still be issued with the appropriate

permits

o As always, no certificate, no workplace access

• Our current Health & Safety rules will remain in place for employees working on-site

o It is vital that everyone acknowledges that we understand and adhere to all the

protocols

• Continue to immediately notify us if you become infected or have been potentially

exposed to the virus - full details in this pack

• Our travel policy remains unchanged - except for work commute

• Our rules for on-site gatherings remains in force

• Our approach to managing our vulnerable employees remains unchanged

• to use public transport to commute to work

• to bring their own food and refreshments to work

• to have goods delivered to the office

Guidelines for permitted on-site employees

• Please remain very vigilant when using public transport

• We will provide you with additional masks so that it is easier to wash and iron your

masks on a daily basis

o Remember, It is compulsory to wear your mask at all times

• We will also provide you with small bottles of sanitizer so that you can clean your hands

frequently; specifically when entering and exiting your mode of transport

• Make sure you have the correct taxi / bus fare at hand to minimise contact

• Always sanitise your hands after handling money

• Wait for the next vehicle if the one available is filled beyond legislated capacity or

would not ensure social distancing

• Where possible, wipe down surfaces before touching it

• Sit or stand as far from others as you possibly can to avoid close contact

GUIDELINES: FOOD IN THE WORKPLACEGuidelines for permitted on-site employees• Please be responsible and continue to follow all our safety protocols

• Old Mutual’s office kitchen areas and catering facilities are not available to employees to use

• You are required to eat by yourself, at your desk

• Always wipe down the surfaces of tables, desks or counters before & after finish eating, using disinfectant

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap & water for at least 20 seconds before preparing any food; and

before & after eating

• Make sure you bring food on-site that is stored in a sealable container that is wiped clean with a

disinfectant and that you take your container home every day

o We encourage the use of glass or reusable plastic (eg. Tupperware) containers

• Should you have a meal on-site that is pre-packaged, please also wipe it clean

• Also make sure you wipe down beverages in cans / bottles

• Never share your food or beverages with anyone, and do not leave it open for others to share

• Similarly, do not share your eating utensils with anyone while preparing or enjoying your meal

• Wash unpackaged produce, such as fruit and vegetables, thoroughly under running water

• For hygienic reasons, please do not throw any food-related items in the waste bins

• Food deliveries can be received outside the workplace; but no food deliveries will be allowed directly into

the office space

** For Mutualpark: We are engaging with Fedics to let you order food on-site & will keep you posted

GUIDELINES: GOODS DELIVERED TO OFFICES

Guidelines for permitted on-site employees• We understand that you may have a need for goods to be delivered to you while at

the office

• Please be responsible and take great care to prevent any contamination

Keep these safety tips top of mind:• Arrange for the delivery to take place outside the office environment

• When collecting your delivered items, always please stick to our safety protocols

o Always wear your mask in the office, and when going outside

o Wash and sanitise your hands properly before and after collecting your items

o Make sure you keep the required 1.5 metres between you and the other parties

o Wipe your items down thoroughly with disinfectant before you bring it into the

office

o When removing any of the packaging in the office, please throw it in a waste bin

with a lid

• The Health & Safety rules in the workplace are part of OML’s agreed Covid-19

protocol; and support Government’s requirements to which we all need to comply

• It protects your safety and wellbeing – and the safety and wellbeing of your family,

other employees, and the customers who engage with us in person

• Customers or visitors to our worksites also look to Old Mutual’s employees to lead by

example

• If you do NOT follow these measures …

• You put yourself and others around you at risk

• You are in breach of Government regulation

• You are in breach of Old Mutual’s workplace protocols

• You cause damage to our brand which we so much love and respect

WHAT ARE THE KEY OML COVID-19 WORKPLACE RULES YOU MUST STAY AT HOME AND CANNOT COME TO WORK

• When you’ve been exposed to a positive case / potentially positive case / or been

in contact with a person who has done a Covid-19 test

• When you are going for a Covid-19 test, awaiting your results or have tested positive

• When you are feeling sick and show Covid-19 related symptoms (i.e. fever, cough,

sore throat, shortness of breath / difficulty in breathing, redness of eyes, body aches,

loss of smell or taste, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, weakness or tiredness)

IN THE CIRCUMSTANCES ABOVE, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY• Inform your Line Manager

• Send your details to [email protected]

• As soon as you have tested positive for Covid-19, inform your Line Manager, send

your details to [email protected] and also report it to our

EHS Department on (011) 217 1809

• Line Managers: it is your duty to make sure the details of your employees are shared

with the Covid-19 Helpdesk; send an e-mail to [email protected]

WHAT ARE THE KEY OML COVID-19 WORKPLACE RULES

IF YOU ARE PERMITTED TO COME TO WORK -

• You are obliged to inform us during the daily screening process

o if you have been exposed to an infected person / a potentially infected person

or if you tested positive for Covid-19

o If you are feeling sick and show Covid-19 related symptoms (i.e. fever, cough,

sore throat, shortness of breath / difficulty in breathing, redness of eyes, body

aches, loss of smell or taste, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, weakness or tiredness)

• When you are on-site, you must

o Immediately let your Line Manager and the Covid-19 Compliance Officer know

when you are feeling sick or unwell

o ALWAYS follow all the safety rules in place and adhere to the personal hygiene

protocol, as detailed in the following slides

CONSEQUENCES IF WE DO NOT FOLLOW THESE RULES• Old Mutual views any transgression of our Covid-19 Health & Safety rules in a very

serious light as anyone who breaches these is unnecessarily placing themselves,

fellow colleagues and customers at risk

• In line with our intention to secure a safe working environment and considering the

serious implications of not adhering to the rules , disciplinary action will be taken

against anyone who does not adhere to these rules

o Depending on the circumstances, this may lead to dismissal

• Please know that if you do not inform us that you have been exposed to an

infected person / potentially infected person or if you tested positive and continue

to work on-site, you are also committing an offence in terms of the Covid-19

Regulations issued by the South Africa Government

o This may result in further prosecution against you

HOW TO USE YOUR FACE MASK *** Please wear a clean cloth face mask that is washed and ironed every day.1. Before putting on a face mask

o clean your hands by using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or

o wash your hands with soap and water

o inspect it for any tears or holes

2. Locate the top part of the face mask3. Position the face mask so that the outer part of the face mask’s side faces outward,

or away from you4. Place the top part of the face mask on the bridge of your nose5. Carefully loop the elastic bands behind your ears or tie the long, straight ties behind

your head6. Pull the bottom of the face mask down, ensuring that it covers your nose, mouth and

chin7. Try to avoid touching your face mask while you’re wearing it

o If you must touch or adjust your face mask, be sure to clean your hands BEFORE and

IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS

8. To take off your face mask, first, sanitise your hands, then unloop the bands from behind your ears or undo the ties from behind your head o Avoid touching the front of your face mask, which may be contaminated
