Dear Parishioners,

Can you feel the breeze? Sure you can when you walk or meet in the Green Room or the White Room from now on.

I am happy to let you know our new, top of the line air conditioning units are up and running in these two parish meeting places. It has taken a lot of contracts, equipment, promises and . . patience to get this parish project completed.

You may recall the first funds returned to the parish from the Generations of Faith diocesan campaign were earmarked for air-conditioning the Green and White Rooms. Too often in the past when different parish functions were conducted in these spaces it was very warm and sometimes unbearable especially in the late spring, the summer and early Fall.

Because of the generosity of so many of you in the Generations of Faith Campaign we have finished the project and it feels good. And I want you to feel good too! Next weekend after Mass please join us in the newly air-conditioned Green and White Rooms for some refreshing breezes and cool beverages. Enjoy each other’s company and join us in a prayer of blessing and thanksgiving to God for all we have been able to do together to make this hope a reality.

Also, I humbly ask everyone to keep to their pledges to the Campaign in the months ahead, and to those who are new in the parish or were not able to assist in the past, please help with our parish projects for the future- a new stage area, storage space for tables and chairs and a kitchenette in the Green Room.

Next Sunday there will be photos and drawings on display of how beautiful and useful the Green Room could become for everyone’s enjoyment and comfort with the generous support of every parishioner.

There are Generations of Faith pledge cards on the tables in the Gathering Space. Please take a pledge card home and prayerfully consider what sacrificial offering you can make. If you have any questions please call me or feel free to contact the Generations of Faith Office listed in today’s bulletin.

Congratulations to everyone and thank you for all you do!

You call us to holiness and we trust you to lead us together on our journey to be a renewed Church, for with you all things are possible. Create us anew in Jesus Christ your Son. Liberate us from all that keeps us from you. Heal us from every form of sin and violence. Transform us to live your Word more profoundly. Awaken us to the sacred; rebuild trust among us. Enliven our parishes; reunite our families. May your Holy Spirit empower us to live as a community of love, freed to share in your work of recreating our world and restoring justice.
