To increase the awareness on SLU’s anti-bullying advocacy, the Guidance Center will host an exhibit of the Anti-Bullying

slogan-making contest entries at the Silang lobby on March 7 & 8, 2012.

Philippine Nurses Association-Maryland chapter president Fe Nieves-Khouw and board member Dino Dolliente turn over a cash donation for the Sunflower Halfway Home for Boys through its director Fr. Gerardo Costa. The awarding program followed the medical-dental-surgical mission that 29 U.S. based members of the PNA sponsored and conducted in Ampusongan, Bakun, Benguet last January 31 in coordination with the SLU School of Nursing, SoN Alumni Association, and the Bakun LGU.

The Ecolodians of Saint Louis University was judged by the Rotary Club of Downtown Session as the “Most Outstanding Organization in Baguio,” “Best in Social Involvement” and “Best in Special Project” in an annual RCDS program last January 26 recognizing the efforts of organizations in Baguio along academics, environment and social justice. Together with their advisers, ESLU officers Fernalyn Betsy Mayao and Ria Nazarene Celiz presented their awards to Fr. Hechanova.

Jose Soliman Jr., faculty member of the School of Humanities, is a member of the Konsehong Tagapagpaganap ng Pambansang Komite ng Sining at Musika of the National Commission on Culture and the Arts from 2011 until 2013.

Since 2006, SLU and Jinan University of Guangzhou, China have been implementing a student exchange agreement. The third batch of SLU exchange students who are all from SABM left for JNU for the Spring Term from February 27 to July 18, 2012. REPO director Dr. Gaston Kibiten spoke on “Research Output Publication: Spanning the Last Mile” during the 13th Regional Nursing Research Congress organized by the SLU School of Nursing at the Prince Bernhard gym last February 18.
