We have a great seminar this weekend on our campus. This is a seminar that every practicing chiropractor should attend. Dr. Bill Huber, an acknowledged exper t inchiropractic research, especially on the subluxation and the chiropractic adjustment, presents The Case for Chiropractic. The role of chiropractic, and specifically the chiropracticadjustment, has been debated for years. This seminar details the established and current research on not only what theadjustment does, but also how chiropractic itself works. This includes information on brain function changes with adjusting, effects of adjusting on brain development, ADD, ADHD,maintenance of brain health, prevention of brain decline, isolation testing mechanisms, effects on visceral organs and much more. This is not anecdotal information, it is scientificresearch as to the effectiveness of chiropractic treatment and its necessity. This course is designed to build a logicalsubstantiated pathway from local effects of adjusting to how it has been shown to change the function of the human brain and its functions. This provides a long awaited description of the current information on how the adjustment works, effects the human brain and its functions and why it is irreplaceable! This course is designed to detail, explain and review thecurrent research surrounding the documented effects of chiropractic – specifically the adjustment. This includes

review of anatomic and neurologic structures and functions, as well as current research describing the effects of this type of management on local musculature, spinal cord, brainstem and the highest levels of the human cerebrum or nervous system. This excellent seminar is taught by William F. Huber, DC, DACAN, MS (R). Dr. Huber is a 1989 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Anatomy Research from St. Louis University School of Medicine. This weekend we welcome Dr. Bryan M. Bond to our campus to present Clinical Biomechanics and Functional Assessment of Musculoskeletal Disorders. The seminar is designed for healthcare providers who frequently manage musculoskeletal conditions. According to Dr. Bond, “Human movement analysis, or identifying dysfunctional motor patterns, may play an important role in pinpointing the underlying cause of symptoms, rather than simply isolating sources of pain. While establishing clinical assessment from the viewpoint of a movement pattern, the clinician may recognize meaningfulimpa i r men ts tha t appear un re la ted to p r imar y ma inmusculoskeletal complaint, but actually cause or facilitate theassociated pain syndrome.” This weekend Dr. Bond discusses the Janda approach, presents an overview of Functional Movement Screen (FMS), discusses Functional Outcomes, and reviews Spine Biomechanics including Functional Anatomy, Kinematics, Kinetics and more. Bryan M. Bond, DC is a graduate of National University of Health Sciences.
