What is a transportable license?

A unique type of node-locked license that can be re-hosted securely and reliably from one host to another as easy as a drag and drop

A transportable license can be perpetual or time perishable

It differs from a typical re-host in that our software confirms the irreversible deletion of a license from the current host prior to issuing a new license for the “target” host

Agilent supports three methods for transporting a license1. Point-to-point; for connected environments 2. Offline; when access to the internet is limited3. Banking; to store on Agilent Software Manager for future use

Agilent Software Manager (ASM)

1. Remove license; save .url file (confirmation token)

4. ASM restores the license entitlement in the customer profile which can be redeemed from ASM immediately or at a future time

2. If not connected to the Internet, sneaker-net the .url file to a PC with Internet access
