ONGOING ELECTRONIC GREEN TEAM OUTREACH AND PR
OVERVIEW The Ewing Green Team currently has numerous ongoing electronic outreach efforts aimed at educating the public about what we are doing and hoping by so doing to get their buy in and promote their involvement. The outreach attempts that we have underway include the following:
WEBSITES
EwingGreenTeam.orgThe Green Team Website has been active since September 2012. Ewinggreenteam.org is our most successful site. Statistics show we have published 126 blog posts to date, and garnered a total of 20.094 views to date. It was especially useful for communicating with the Community Visioning participants. We use it to show monthly meeting reports, the Strategic Plan that arose out of the Community Visioning, important Ewing Township documents of interest to our constituents, to give interested residents a way to contact us via the web, to communicate highlights of our ongoing campaigns and much more.
EwingCommunityGardens.wordpress.comA subsidiary website for the Ewing Community Gardens was also launched in September 2012. We use it to communicate with those interested in community gardening in our township. Statistics show we have published 39 blog posts to date and had 3951 site views.
EwingRecycles.orgA Ewing centric recycling website was launched in the spring of 2015. This newer site has 12 blog posts to date and we have had 2359 site views. We plan to promote this more heavily in the future.

EWING GREEN TEAM FACEBOOK PAGE The Ewing Green Team has had a Facebook page since 2010 and maintains regular updates. It is the easiest way to share event photos so that they are readily accessed by all who receive regular updates on our page. We are slowly building up a list of followers. EGT TWITTER ACCOUNT - @EWINGGREENTEAMThe EGT is a relatively new Twitter adopter, but we have begun tweeting about events and important issues on a regular basis since September 2014.
EWING GREEN TEAM ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERThe EGT has put considerable effort into outreach via an e-newsletter since December 2013. We built up a database of Gmail contacts which we use in periodic MailChimp email newsletter blasts. We have sent out 23 news blasts since our first, sometimes for specific events and others for a series of upcoming events. We are pleased to report that our cumulative open rate is 34.6%, well above the industry average of 21.4%. See the table of results following.
