Do something now
• Go out and interview someone• Ask them questions designed to elicit a
colourful/emotive response:• What’s your favourite joke?• What was the last dream you had?• Your earliest childhood memory?• Your first love?• Your saddest moment?• Your happiest moment?• Tell me the story of your life
Do something else
• Pick a topical issue or a few stories for a podcast• Organise 3 people to take part – give them
notice so they can swot up• Test your room for sound – make sure it’s not
too echoey or dull• As host, make sure you know how to introduce
the issue, your guests – and how to end.• Have some ideas to prod the discussion forward
if it needs it.• Use body language to manage the discussion
