Online RTI To provide facility to citizens to submit RTI applications online thereby reducing the resolution time in providing information to citizens under the RTI Act, and also saving time and resources of the Corporation Background The Corporation has proposed to develop the Online RTI application as a facility to citizens to obtain the information sought by them more efficiently. Location The application will be deployed in CIDCO Data Centre Scale State Cost Rs. 10 Lakhs Date of Commencement December 2015 Date of Completion February 2016 Detailed Scope To develop the Online RTI application for the Corporation based on the similar application developed by NICSI To provide integration with payment gateway for provision to receive the application fees of Rs. 10/- Provision for free submission of RTI application for Below Poverty Line applicants Application to have further provision for receipt of additional charges towards providing photocopies of documents sought by the applicant Customisation of the application to account for all the Public Information Officers and the Appellate Authorities across the Corporation Provision for sending copies of documents sought by the applicant through email Generation of MIS reports as per the statutory requirement Progress The Online RTI application is presently Live with provision to pay the application fee online through payment gateway. The complete application as per the above scope of work will be ready by February 2016. Benefits The benefits of the proposed messaging application are as mentioned below: Applicants seeking information under the RTI Act need not physically submit their applications at the Offices of the Corporation; they can submit their application online and also pay the fees online through the payment gateway There will be no loss of time for the applications to reach the concerned Officers and hence the applications can be effectively disposed within the stipulated time

receive the replies online faster • Even in case copies of documents are required, the payments

for the same can be made online and scanned documents can be sent to the applicant
