UPDATE FROM CENTERPOINTE CHURCH
Dear Centerpointe Congregation, The Centerpointe Church Board, with high recommendation from the Potomac District Assemblies of God, has invited Pastor Jerry Schloe to provide the pulpit sermon for this Sunday, September 5th. Additionally, Pastor Jerry will be helping during our transition to new leadership. Since this is the first Sunday of the month; Communion will be part of the service.
On Sunday, September 12th, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., there will be a special meeting for everyone interested in the future of Centerpointe. Pastor Jerry Schloe will join the Board of Deacons to host this opportunity to have input regarding the search for a new senior pastor and moving forward to fulfill the mission of Centerpointe. A light lunch will be provided for anyone planning to participate in this meeting. Please join us in fervent prayer for healing and strengthening according to God’s Will for our wonderful church!

Royal Rangers | Boys and Young Men Grades K-12
Royal Rangers is a ministry for boys. Our aim is to instruct, challenge, and inspire boys in areas of Bible knowledge, Christian service, moral conduct, and basic beliefs of our church through interesting activities that boys enjoy. What makes it unique is the combination of Christian principles with the fun and adventure of outdoor activities.

Missionettes | Girls and Young Women Grades K-12
Missionettes is a ministry for girls and young women to equip them to become all that God has planned for them to be. The focus of the ministry is to see every girl moving toward a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Missionettes also exists to empower girls to realize their importance and potential in God’s Kingdom.
Well, summer has ended, and a new school year is on the way! September will be a great month in Missionettes, so please mark your calendars!!

Missionettes Campfire Promotion NightWednesday, September 8th, 7 pm-8:15 pm
Join us outside for our Campfire and Promotion Night to kick off our new year. Bring a blanket to share if you have one, and bring your appetite for s’mores! We will also have order forms and registration forms available for the new club year. Please wear your club T-shirt if you have one.

Missionettes Sleepover at Centerpointe ChurchFriday, September 24th, 5:30 pm to Saturday, September 25th, Noon
Sleepover at the church. This year’s theme is “Time for Tea – taking time to build friendships.” Bring a friend for a night of tea time, games, crafts, devotions and just plain sleepover fun! Look for a sign up flyer on Wednesday night.

Nursing Home MinistrySeptember 12th & October 10th, 10 am
The ministry to the residents of the Commonwealth Care Center nursing home is at 10:00 am every second Sunday of the month.

Angel Food Ministry | Saturday, September 18th, 11 am-1 pm
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the US. The program began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia (between Atlanta and Athens), and has grown to serve hundreds of thousands of families every month across 44 states. Angel Food Ministries crosses denominational lines and has spread the good news of the gospel of Christ through salvation tracts that are placed in each food order.
