OP Nutrition (subsidiary of Indiana Packers) // PERU, INDIANAStart-up is approaching for OP Nutrition’s new 4,800 ton per week swine feedmill. The feedmill includes 330,000 bushels of whole grain storage, over 2,000 tons of bulk ingredient storage, and over 1,200 tons of finished feed bulk storage. Batching will be up to 125 TPH, and pelleting is rated at 55 TPH with consideration for a future 55 TPH pelleting line.

Crews are completing the final stages of all major equipment installation. Huston Electric (electrical subcontractor) is terminating connections to all equipment in preparation for commissioning. SIXTY YEARS AND GOING STRONG

This year marks Todd & Sargent’s 60th Anniversary. In 1958, George Todd & Warren Sargent formed a partnership that would go on to stand the test of time. Over the past 60 years, countless clients, hundreds of industry partners, and many thousands of employees have contributed to Todd & Sargent’s success which has brought us to where we are today.

Over these six decades we have built hundreds of facilities totaling over $2 billion! But it’s really not the dollars that are so impressive, rather the impact that these facilities have on the world. It is not uncommon for a flour mill that we design and build to produce more than one million pounds of flour each day that will go to bakeries to produce baked goods for tens of thousands of people. Or for a feedmill to produce 50 million pounds of feed per week that will go to feed hundreds of thousands of animals. Or for a grain terminal to store more than a million bushels of grain that will get shipped across the country or around the world to reach a global population. These facilities truly help feed the world.

We’re proud to celebrate 60 years of serving the engineering and construction needs of our clients to help ensure their continued growth and success! And we’re proud to help continue feeding a growing world. Thank you for your part in making that success a reality.

SAFETY CORNERMARK WIELAND, T&S SAFETY DIRECTOR

Whether we are in the office or out in the field, we strive for excellence. We do this by asking ourselves how we can make things better than they currently are. We remind ourselves that just because something works doesn’t mean we can’t make it better. Some members of the safety department put these thoughts into action recently with a fire extinguisher stand at one of our jobsites. How could we make the stand better? The answer was clear. The typical fire extinguisher stand is short, making it hard to find in an emergency. It needed to be more visible. Instead of buying a newer and taller stand, it was decided that this one could be transformed with a simple fix: a pole was added to the back of the stand, giving it high visibility. By doing this we made the jobsite safer, and we took a bare minimum practice and turned it into a best practice.

We look forward to continually making jobsites safer with simple innovations. Our biggest priority is that each crew member makes it home safely every night.
