If you’re headed to City Campus, you can visit our Mini-Market Place in Byrom Street for information on any of our courses (excluding programmes from the Faculty of Arts, Professional & Social Studies).

You will be able to find out about our range of degree apprenticeships in construction and engineering by chatting to employers and academic staff.

You can also pick up advice on accommodation, finance and careers, and chat to our Students’ Union if visiting Byrom Street as part of your Open Day.

Accommodation tours are self-guided, so you can view as many different options as you like, at any point throughout the day. Pick up a walking map from an Information Desk, Registration or from the accommodation stand in the Redmonds Building or Byrom Street.

All our accommodation is in the city centre and within easy walking distance.

All new students are guaranteed a room in high quality, city centre based student accommodation while studying at LJMU. Our Accommodation Office is committed to helping you find the perfect home from home.

Free bus serviceCoaches will be available throughout the day, transporting you to and from teaching buildings at Mount Pleasant, City and I M Marsh Campus.

The Coach Park is located outside the John Foster Building on Mount Pleasant (see E2 on map opposite) where student helpers and University staff will be waiting to assist you.

Coaches will also bring you back from the teaching buildings to the Coach Park, should you wish to return to the Mount Pleasant Campus.

WalkingLiverpool is a really compact city making it easy to get around on foot. If you would prefer to walk to a University building for your faculty talk or tour, student helpers are on hand to direct you. Walking maps are also available from any of the key information points, Registration or the Accommodation stands.

Car parking advice Mount Pleasant Campus While there is no onsite parking at the University, there are plentyof car parking options in the immediate area within easy walkingdistance. The closest multi-storey car park is located on MountPleasant (see map page 14).

Byrom StreetOnsite parking is for permit holders only, please go online (advice below) to find the most convenient car parking options within the area. For Byrom Street, type ‘Fontenoy Street’ to get the best results.
