ART E1,2 & 3 Come and view photograms and photoshoots in E3.

View iPad drawing, charcoal drawing and mono printing in E2.

Take a look at our ceramics demonstrations in E1.

Computer

Studies

C2 Watch students coding using Python, LMC and other languages. Get hands on

and use a Raspberry Pis and a Raspberry Pi Robot.

Design &

Technology

W11,12 & 13 Come and take part in a ‘guess the fruit’ challenge. Baking will also be taking

place.

See displays of GCSE Textiles in W12. Why not try to embroider your name

onto fabric to take away with you.

View demonstrations of the technology within the department in W13, You

will have the chance to create simple card pop-up mechanisms.

How well do you know your counties?

Drama D1 & D2 Come and take part in an improvisation session in the drama studio. You can

join in as actors, or simply observe. Come and see the theatre lights on in the

studios and an array of props.

eLearning B3 Immerse yourself in an interactive exploration of the technology and eLearn-

ing opportunities we have at Chesterton.

You can compete in an online eLearning quiz using one of the school iPads

and parents can learn how we keep you in touch every day about your

learning.

English &

Media

Apex View a demonstration of a range of learning strategies and activities used in

English. Get involved in a spelling bee, storytelling or some interactive poet-

ry.

Areas to visit

Humanities A1,2,3,4 & 5

Visit us in A1 to play Geography games. You can play Rapidough and

Hangman Geography with some KS3 students. You can also have a go at

creating a building that can withstand the shaking of an earthquake and

then test it using our shaking table.

Test your RE knowledge in the artefacts quiz and have a go at a Kahoot

quiz using an iPad. Visit A2 to find out about RE, PSE and Year 7 Wicked

Wednesdays.

Meet Caecilius and find out all about what was happening in Pompeii just

before Vesuvius erupted by visiting our Latin department in A3.

Visit A4 & A5 where we will be organising a historical photo booth.

Mathematics B4 Visit us to interact with Maths. See how maths games are used

creatively in lessons. Try your luck with "who wants to be a

millionaire" and see first hand the benefits of iPads in a maths lesson.

Languages B1 & B2 Explore our display of resources and information for all three language

courses and the trips we offer.

Try a language? Test yourself with some French activities.

Learning Support A7 A chance for parents to talk informally with staff about: special

educational needs provision, inclusion and intervention strategies to help

Library Visit us in the library to see how we support our students who are learning

English as a second language.

Have a go on the steel pans , experiment with music and listen to Year 10

students perform.

Physical Education Sports Hall You are all invited to try out indoor rowing, basketball, trampolining and

the pentathlon challenge - organised by our Year 10 sports leaders.

See amazing student displays of boxercise, zumba, basketball and

trampolining.

Science S5 & S7 Be a scientist for the evening with lots of hands on experiments.
