Welcome It is a great pleasure to invite you to Carterton Community

College.

We are justifiably proud of our College and our students.

This is a place where individuals matter; somewhere the

opinions of our community are valued.

We want our students to have high standards and high

aspirations, to be inspired in a safe and happy environment.

We want them to be valued members of the community

and achieve all they are capable of.

This year 98% of our sixth form students achieved a place at

the University of their choice. We have had students

reading English Literature at Newcastle and Geography and Social Anthropology at St

Andrews. Four of our students currently in year 13 are applying to Oxbridge.

We are constantly vigilant about our expectation of students in both the pride and the

quality of the work that they produce daily. We guarantee to push your child to the best of

their ability no matter their starting point. In return, we expect positive attitudes to

learning and a commitment to improve.

Ultimately, we want students to be Ambitious, Responsible and Kind. That is the Carterton Way.

Who are we? We are your local secondary school and part of a federation of local schools. We work closely together to

understand the needs of our students and community. We work with our service families and RAF Brize

Norton – We are proud that Carterton Primary School won a prestigious award from the Armed Forces

Families Federation.

Our dates are:

Oxfordshire County Council provide free transport to Carterton Community College for anyone living within the blue boundary. From September 2018 the blue boundary also denotes the catchment area of our school. This guarantees your child a place. School Busses already run from Bampton, Clanfield and other villages.

Blazers are back We believe when our students are neatly dressed it instils pride in our school community and helps us to remember that we belong to a special group - the students at Carterton Community College - and to be proud of it. Above all, school uniform supports effective teaching and learning.

Come and visit You may not have heard much about us before. Our open evening is a great opportunity to come and see

for yourself. You will have the opportunity to meet our staff and some of our student guides. See the

facilities available and get a real feel for the College. Every school is different, every child is unique. We

understand how important it is to make the right choice of school for your child, so come and visit us and
