Entries will be received Monday, July 13 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Doors will close for judging promptly at 11 a.m.1. Pre-registration required for the 2015 fair. On-line registrations accepted May 1 - June 15 at lincmo.fairmanager.com or 2. mail entry form on page 32 (must be postmarked by June 15, 2015) to Home Science Entry, Lincoln County Fair, 880 W. College St., Troy, MO 63379Each class will accept entries for three age divisions: 12 and under, ages 13-21 and ages 22 and above.3. Exhibitors may exhibit in as many classes as they wish. However, exhibitors are limited to two exhibits per class.4. All articles must be the work of the exhibitor5. NO POSTERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.6. Any article will not be eligible for competition in the same class in which it was previously exhibited.7. When there is not competition in a class, articles will be awarded according to merit. No ribbon and premium will be 8. awarded unless quality merits. In classes with one exhibit, first place will be awarded only if the judge(s) feels exhibit is worthy.The Lincoln County Fair will make reasonable effort for a secure display area. The Lincoln County Fair, Inc., members 9. of the board of directors, nor superintendent/assistant superintendents assume no responsibility for loss of or damage to exhibits.Judges decisions are final.10. Best of Show ribbons will be awarded in the following categories: Breads; Desserts (cakes, cookies, candies); Canned 11. Canned Foods
The judging guidelines are printed to help you prepare your entries.
All canned goods must be in standard canning jars, sealed 1. with two-piece lids, using appropriate heat processing and less than one year old. Paraffin is not an acceptable seal. Bands should be in place for transporting jars, but will be removed for judging.Entries must be labeled with product name, date of 2. preparation, processing method, length of processing time and recipe source. Entries with incomplete label will be disqualified. Example of a qualified label:

Eligibility of Fleeces: 1. In order to compete for prizes, each fleece must: (a) have been shorn in 2015; (b) represent not more than 12 months growth except that in the case of yearling fleeces 18 months growth will be allowed. Qualifications: Any fleece entered in competition at the Wool Show will be discriminated against if: A. Showing any paint or tar brands (soluble branding fluids permissible) B. Showing excessive dung locks or tags C. Discolored by excessive moisture D. Cotted E. Showing a weak staple or break in fiber F. Containing any excess burrs or other vegetable matterPreparation of Fleeces: 2. Fleeces will be skirted and may be tied with paper fleece twine, flesh side out, or controlled in a man-ner to allow their being handled without falling apart.Fleeces should be entered on Monday July 13, 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Main Exhibit Hall at the Lin-3. coln County Fairgrounds.Premiums will be paid on 1st through 4th places in each class. 4. Premiums will be: 1st - $7; 2nd - $6; 3rd - $5; 4th - $4.
