    Dr. Benjamin Carson; March4, 2013

I saw your famous Feb 7 speech on the internet. Best speech I ever saw. Of courseIm biased because you said so many things that I am passionate about and havesuffered for many years that there are no voices in our government with simplecommon sense solutions. These ideas go over the heads of politicians becausetheir agenda is not really to solve problems or do things in an efficient way withoutFederal control. You are in a position to try and sell these ideas because peoplerespect you and you have the gift of making things understandable.

In particular your idea about universal HSAs with a few tweaks could solve many ofour countries problems in a few short years. The key change you need to highlightthat makes it all work is that the universal HSA must free employers from theburden of providing or contributing to the cost of healthcare. We need to directfunds into peoples HSAs from other sources (such as current Medicare withholding, taxes that now go towards Medicaid and a 2% national sales tax on sales excluding

homes and food). Then as you describe people can use their HSA to make their ownhealthcare choices and the market freed from government mandates couldinnovate and compete to meet peoples needs. Even the poorest would haveenough to get basic care and more federal redistribution would bedirected to the elderly of course.

Benefits of this approach would be simple and immediate:

Unemployment would be solved, without employers having to providehealthcare, American companies would always start at home first whenlooking to hire people or build factories. They would go overseas only whenthey had to. Foreign companies would also come here. This would allowAmericans to be first in line for the best jobs and the lower paying jobs would

be recruited overseas. This is the easiest way to guarantee acceleratedgrowth of our economy which is needed to provide the tax base needed torescue our reckless government.

This would allow all healthcare (total elimination of Obamacare andall other federal mandates), Medicare and Medicare to be handled inthe same way, with Market forces controlling costs and driving innovation.

The dependency cycle that now exists will only be broken when thereare mechanisms to provide the basics without people losing these basicswhen they get a job to better themselves. The national HSA would allowpeople to have healthcare and take lower paying beginner jobs where nowpoor people with kids cant afford to get jobs and lose their governmentbenefits. This would get tens of millions of people working and paying taxes

instead of sucking off the public trough.

I hope you can find the energy to push your ideas, because our country is runningout of time. The percentage of voters that will always vote to rob the treasury fortheir own benefit will continue to grow. If we dont fix the structural problems ourgovernment has created in the very near future it will be too late and then theinevitable collapse, civil war and likely multiple countries formed from thedevastation. History shows us how this will turn out.

Best speech I ever heard - given by Benjamin Carson (world renowned Neurosurgeon,

i.e. a smart person) on Feb 7 2013. In this video he basically destroys everything Obama stands for with Obama

    sitting right there listening.

Why cant we have a president like Carson instead of that demagogueObama?
