We welcome every student who has a desire to learn and a dream of a brighter future. From the day of our founding, NOVA has been an “academy of opportunity.” Our entire community—students, faculty and staff—sees our diversity as an extraordinary strength, inclusion as a central value and equity as a guiding principle. You will find a home at NOVA, one that respects your identity while broadening your horizons. From accounting to artificial intelligence, cinema to cybersecurity, health sciences to hospitality, and more: our goal is to ensure that every student succeeds, every program achieves and every community prospers. At NOVA, we go boldly, and we invite you to join us in that journey!

NOVA allowed me to attend college affordably while figuring out what I wanted to do. I went from being lost in life to transferring to a world-class business school with a full ride. I wouldn’t be where I am today without NOVA.

Every year, students who are seeking a bachelor’s degree use NOVA’s guaranteed admission agreements to transfer seamlessly to more than 50 four-year partners. Complete the first two years of your degree at NOVA and then transfer as a junior to the college or university of your choice.
To get into the job market quickly, check out NOVA’s two-year associate degree and shorter certificate programs in hot career fields such as biotechnology, cybersecurity, healthcare, automotive, information technology and more.
Acquire new skills and knowledge to change careers or get a promotion with our noncredit workforce training in computer programming, web design and development, project management, contract management, entrepreneurship and more. Most of these programs are scheduled to accommodate busy adults.
Thanks to NOVA’s Honors Program, I’ve had amazing experiences such as serving as a research assistant and presenting scientific research projects at conferences. As a student with a mild disability, I found the support I needed to succeed. Now I’m prepared to pursue my goal to become a computational neuroscientist. All because of NOVA.

ADVISING HELPS YOU START STRONG SO YOU FINISH FAST. New students ages 17 to 24 attend student orientation and meet with a first-year advisor to make an academic plan. If you are older than 24, you are encouraged to discuss your goals with an academic advisor to make sure you’re taking the right courses and understand NOVA’s policies and procedures.
The Office of Military and Veterans Services provides comprehensive resources to veterans and military-related personnel who are utilizing VA and tuition assistant educational benefits. The office provides guidance on certification requirements and acts as a liaison between NOVA and the Department of Veterans Affairs, while helping you transition from the military to college.
The Office of Disability Services ensures all students have an opportunity to pursue a college education regardless of the presence or absence of a disability. NOVA makes reasonable accommodations in providing course, program and building modification, and/or auxiliary aids and services in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008. No academically qualified student with a disability will be denied access to or participation in NOVA’s services, programs and activities.

At the age of 17, I enrolled at NOVA where I discovered extremely supportive professors who love to empower their students. I was inspired to take an active role on campus and my NOVA experience taught me that objectives are achievable with hard work, drive and a belief in yourself. I now have several diplomas but I remain most proud of my NOVA degree because it was the first step along my academic journey.
