LevelingJBbalanceshaveaspiritlevelandtwoadjustablelevelingfeettocompensateforslightirregularitiesinthesurfaceoftheweighingbench.Thebalanceisexactlyhorizontalwhentheairbubbleisinthemiddleofthelevelglass.

Preparations for weighing below the balanceTocarryoutweighingoperationsbelowthebalance,thespecialcoverontheundersideofthebalancemustbeslackened(care:whendoingthisthebalancemayonlybelaidonitsside,notturnedupsidedown!),turnedthrough180°andretightened.Thisexposestheopeningforthehanger,makingweighingbelowthebalancepossible.
Connecting the power supply➞ BeforeconnectingtheACadapter,checkthatthevoltageprintedonitcorrespondstothelocalmains
voltage.Ifthisisnotthecase,pleasecontactyourlocalMETTLERTOLEDOdealer.➞ PlugtheACadapterintotheACadaptersocketonthebalance,andconnecttothepowersupply.➞ Thebalanceperformsaself-test.Thistestisfinishedwhen“OFF”appears.➞ Pressthe«On»keybriefly:thebalanceisinoperationalreadiness.Beforeanyworkisperformedwiththe

Thefactory settingisfully automatic adjustment FACT(FullyAutomaticCalibrationTechnologiy)withtheinternalweight(seealsoSection4.�.�).Inthissetting,youhavenoneedworryaboutadjustingyourbalance.Thebalanceadjustsitselfautomatically• afterthewarm-upphaseonconnectiontothepowersupply,• whenachangeintheambientconditions,e.g.thetemperaturecouldleadtoanoticeabledeviationinthe measurement.
2.5.2 Manual adjustment (calibration)Toobtainaccurateresults,thebalancemustbeconnectedtothepowersupplyfor�0minutesinordertoreachoperatingtemperaturebeforeadjusting.
