Introduction to OPS-WEB • Using OPS-WEB, you can securely view personal & work information as

well as update work information over the internet from a computer, tablet or mobile device – from anywhere.

• Use OPS-WEB to find work assignments, view the driver paddle, view your timekeeping summary, and read bulletins, orders, and notices.

Logging in to OPS-WEB

• Type in https://operator.sfmta.com in your internet browser. Save this to your Favorites menu.

• The OPS-WEB landing page contains Message(s) for the day and the login window.

First Time Logging in to OPS-WEB

• Badge = Your Cap ID

• PIN = Use the temporary PIN provided in your OPS-WEB letter.

Example: If your Cap ID is 0123, enter 0123 in the Badge field and enter your temporary PIN; e.g. 920130123 in the PIN field.

• Then click Login button.

NOTE: A self-service portal will be available for you to look up your PIN in the event you lose/forget it.

Changing Your PIN

• After logging in, you may change your PIN using the Tools > Change PIN page.

• Enter your old PIN, for example 920130123

• Choose a new PIN with a minimum of four digits

• You will receive a message that your PIN was changed

*Requests menu turned off until Phase II of OPS-WEB implementation

• You can also view your work assignments for the current day on the Personal Messages page when you log into OPS-WEB.

Messages

• On Messages pages, you can view personal messages, general messages for all operators, and detour notifications.

– Operators Orders and Bulletins fall under “General Messages”

– General and Construction Notices fall under “Detour Notifications”

• To view messages: Choose the type of messages that you want to view from the Messages menu.

Employee Info – Absence Details

• To view absences: From the Employee Info menu, choose Absence Details. – Click the calendar button beside the From Date field, and choose the first date for

viewing absences.

– Click the calendar button beside the To Date field, and choose the last date for viewing absences.

– (Optional) From the Absence Type pull-down list, choose the type of absences you want to view.

– Click Search

Employee Info – Expiration Dates

• To view expiration dates: Choose Expiration Dates from the Employee Info menu.

• To view leave balances: Choose Leave Balances from the Employee Info menu.

Employee Info - Timekeeping

• To view pay information: From the Employee Info menu, choose Timekeeping. (Visit http://www.sfcontroller.org for your official paystub)

• Click the calendar button, click a date in the week for viewing pay information, and then click Search.

• On Daily Assignments pages, you can view your work assignments in a list or on a calendar. You can also view and enter information about when you are acting as a volunteer.

• To view work assignments in a list: From the Daily Assignments menu, choose Assignment List.

• Click the calendar button beside the From Date field, and choose the first date for viewing work assignments.

• Click the calendar button beside the To Date field, and choose the last date for viewing work assignments.

• Click Search.

• To view your driver paddle for a day, click the printer icon in the day's Paddle column.

• You might need to scroll to the far right depending on the resolution of your computer screen.

• To view work assignments in a calendar: From the Daily Assignments menu, choose Assignment Calendar.

• From the Month and Year pull-down lists, choose the month and year for viewing work assignments.

• Click Search.

• To view your driver paddle for a day, click the View Paddle button for the day.

• From the Daily Assignments menu, choose Volunteer Calendar.

• From the Month and Year pull-down lists, choose the month and year for viewing volunteer information.

• Click Search.

• To view or enter detailed volunteer information for a day, click the day's Detail/Update button.

• (Optional) Do one of the following:

– To change information for an existing volunteer type, click Edit for the volunteer type. Specify volunteer information, and then click Update.

– To enter a new volunteer type, click Add New Volunteer Type. Specify volunteer information, and then click Update.

– To remove the volunteer type click Delete

• Select Extraboard or Volunteer postings from the Operational menu to view postings for a given date.

• Click the calendar button beside the Date field and choose the date for viewing a posting.

• Specify the Extraboard or Volunteer type from the list.

• Click Search.

Bid Requests

• You will be able to enter absence bid requests and work bid requests during Phase II of OPS-WEB implementation. For now these features are not available.

• Dispatchers use Trapeze OPS to control the absence and work bidding (Sign-Up) processes, and Trapeze OPS records your bid requests which are then approved or disapproved using the existing business processes.

• Following the first phase of OPS-WEB implementation and increased familiarity with using OPS-WEB, you will be able to enter absence bid requests at any time and work assignment bid requests during an open Sign-Up period.

• Detailed instructions for submitting absence and work assignment bid requests will be included in Version 2.0 of this OPS-WEB user guide.

• A self-service portal will be made available that will allow you to look up your PIN should you lose/forget it. Refer back to this user guide after April 1, 2014 for the link to the self-service portal.
