OBIA Installation Steps

First we will install java , we run the setup

Click next



Specify the path



Click next



Click Done to finish



1. Install weblogic 10.3.6 with the following command:



2. Specify the inventory directory and keep it default.



3. Press Next.



5. Press Next.



7. Uncheck the security update statement and press Next.



9. Uncheck the statement below and press continue.



10. Press Next.



12. Make sure the right JDK is checked and press Next.



14. Press Next.



16. Press Next and when the installation is complete, press Finish



18. Move the to BI home path and run the config.sh “/u01/middleware/Oracle_BI/bin/config.sh” Press Next.



20. Select the skip security updates option and press Next.



22. Select the Software Only Install option and press Next.



24. After prerequisite check is completed, press Next.



26. Press Next.



28. Press Next.



30. Press install when the installation is completed then press finish.

31. Move to the RCU path 11.1.1.7 to make the BIEE schemas.



33. Press Next.



35. Select the Create option and press Next.



37. Enter the Database connection data in the fields as seen below and press Next.



39. Select the following components then press Next.



41. Enter a password for all schemas and press Next.



43. Press Next.



45. Press Create.



47. When the creation is finished, press Close.



49. Now we will configure the BI. Move to this path and run the following:



51. Press Next.



53. Press Next.



55. Enter the WebLogic password and press Next.



57. Specify the domain home, instance home and instance name.



59. Select the following components and press Next.



61. Enter the Database connection string, BIPLATFORM username and password.



63. Enter the connection string for the database and MDS schema password.



65. Keep the Auto Port Configuration option and press Next.



67. Uncheck the security updates and press Next.



69. Press Next.

70. BI installer will start and after completion, press Cancel.

71. Now the OBIEE server is installed we have to install Oracle ODI software only and skip repository creation.

Run the installer



72. Skip Welcome Screen.



73. Skip Update Screen.



74. Choose the following you can skip standalone installation and create it later during development.



75. Check Pre requisites

76. Choose installation Location:-



77. Application Server that will be used.



78. Skip the repository since the OBIA will create it later.

81. In this steps you should install OBIA Installation, before this the RCU should be created to OBIA RCU.

99. Now We need to check the ODI connection with OBIA with same RPD that we created during OBIA installation

from the following path run ODI studio

RPD.
