Prerequisites

The PeopleSoft – Taleo Recruiting integration provides a standardized, seamless and cost effectivesolution for synchronizing the two systems. As with any standardized integration, there are a fewprerequisites for implementing this solution.

PeopleSoft Prerequisites

1 Tableset Control must be implemented in PeopleSoft and entities like Department, Jobcode andLocation must be set-controlled by Business Unit.

2 All entities such as Department, Company and Location must be populated.

3 Each location must be configured with Country and State/Province information along withcity and street address.

4 All Jobcodes must be populated.

5 Every employee in PeopleSoft must be associated with a single User Id to access PeopleSoft.

6 User Id associated with an employee should be minimum 4 characters in length.

7 User Profiles must be defined and associated with the appropriate roles to run the integration.These include the roles within PeopleSoft as well as the user roles in Taleo.

8 PeopleSoft 9.1 (or higher) HR system must be kept current on maintenance, with the latestbundle and individual fixes applied.

9 PeopleSoft must exist with PeopleTools 8.53.05 or higher release.

Taleo Prerequisites

1 Configuration

A Organization Structure: Organization must be configured as a 3-level hierarchy. Any otherOrganization Structure is not supported.

• Level 1: Company• Level 2: Business Unit• Level 3: Department

B Location structure: Location must be configured as a 4-level hierarchy. Any other LocationStructure is not supported.

• Level 1: Country• Level 2: State• Level 3: City• Level 4: Work Location

C Requisition Templates: Requisition Templates are maintained in PeopleSoft as Jobs and importedinto Taleo. It is recommended that the requisitions are created from requisition templates inTaleo.

2 Recruiting

A New Hire Data: The New Hire data is sent over to PeopleSoft when a candidate reaches aspecific step/status in the workflow. An exportable status must be defined in each workflowfor new hire export. The New Hire data is sent over to PeopleSoft only once per candidatesubmission.

3 Customer Defined Fields (UDFs): Customer defined fields are not exchanged between Taleoand PeopleSoft in this integration. No additional fields must be defined for the integration.

4 Data Elements: Only predefined set of elements are supported in this integration. Noadditional data elements can be used for this integration.

5 Other Products: Products such as Performance and Transitions are not supported in thisintegration.

6 Supported Versions: Taleo release 13A or higher is required for this integration.
