Always rated as one of the top street shows in the area, the Orange Sunrise Rotary Club hosts a crowd favorite in Old Town Orange. This show is limited to 400 vehicles and often times you are turned away. I was #382 this year and I registered 4 months ahead!

There was a good turnout of F-100’s with 5 from the club (others were turned away) and 6 or 7 others in attendance. There were also plenty of F-1’s and unibodies to look at, but what was really impressive was the commercial COE that you see below right. WOW was all I could say about this hauler that caries two streetrods. Hopefully this will be at our F-100 Western Nationals in June.

The Pres Says... by Jeff Hornsby

With everything that is hap-pening in the club right now it’s sometimes difficult to keep up with what’s important. Sure the Orange County Chap-ter is still growing and should reach 45 members by the time that the F-100 Western Nationals get here. Sure we have just passed monumental legislation that expands the model years for members back to 1948, but is all of that really important to us in life?

Last Saturday May 3rd, we said good bye to Mike Wallace until that time comes when we meet at that big cruise in the sky. 54 years young is just to early in life to leave this good earth.

Pickups Limited really showed up in strength with the Or-ange County chapter joining with folks from San Gabriel, Ventura, Pomona, and In-land chapters to wear those funny hats, chew on a tooth pick, and do one of the things that Mike liked most...drive our trucks. There were even several of Mike’s buddies with their street rods.

Mike was universally loved and he will be missed. We did our best to send him off in style, with a batch of “CHERRIES” in hand, and stories from past events with Mike, we celebrat-ed his life with Vicky and their kids.

Mike, we hope to all see you at that one last cruise.

We just reached 40 members in the OC chapter during our last meeting on April 10, 2008 and I wanted to thank all of our current members for getting out there, spreading the word about the club.

These are exciting times for our club, with the growth of membership and friendships that are made as a result of talking trucks or getting a show together. It’s fair to say that my club friends have made me a better person and has also expanded my knowledge of the hobby I love.

With the many changes over the past 40 years of PUL I know there been many members that have come and gone. Of the long time members that are still active in the seven chapters I have the upmost

respect. It would have been easy to just walk a way and let the club die when times were tough and membership was down, you all made the club what it is today. Thanks for keeping things going for us newbe’s to enjoy!

I would also like to say farewell to Mike Wallace. On April 13, 2008 Mike lost his battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Mike was one of those long time mem-bers that would do whatever for the club. I had the pleasure of knowing Mike in my short time with the club and have some good memories of those times. I’d like to use a quote from an e-mail Rick & Karen Manalia of the Ventura Chapter of Pickups Limited sent to me after Mike’s passing.

“Mike will join the another Street Rodders in Heaven where the trucks run cool and look sweet. The gas is cheap, the cruise nights never end and smokey burn outs are always allowed !”

God Bless Mike Wallace and his family.

Steve, Chris, Jeff and I went to the Meguiar’s detailing class on Saturday April 26th. It was a freebee when you sign up for their online forum and took the full day…about 8 hours. They teach some basic things that many times we all overlook in the care and maintenance of the finish on our vehicles, starting with the big #1 tip…

ALWAYS READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE BACK OF EVERY CONTAINER!

Besides that often ignored point, they have a 5-Step Paint Care Cycle that we should all follow:1. WASHING The removal of loose contaminants from any surface2. SURFACE PREP The removal of bonded contaminants and/or stubborn defects that washing cannot remove 3. POLISHING The creation of brilliant high gloss4. PROTECTING The preservation of brilliant high gloss5. MAINTAINING The frequent removal of fresh contaminants before they have a chance to bond or etch into the surfaceThe big #2 tip of the day was to always evaluate the paint surface after washing before you do anything. You use your eyes to see the big defects, your hands to feel any contaminants, and two types of lights when possible to see all other defects that may exist.

There was one thing that they showed us that I found I was always doing wrong and that is using the Clay Bar. I guess I have always been too easy going with it. Mike Phillips the instructor had us really getting a workout on the test car. Once the car had been gone over with the Clay Bar, then it was time to figure out just what you need to do next. That’s where it can get confusing for a guy like me. With so many things that Meguiar’s sells it is hard to pick. Mike told us that most times their #80 Professional Speed Glaze used with one of their new G-110 electric Dual Action buffers is all most guys would need. Finish it off with two coats of wax and there you go! Done Deal!

There was so much information tossed at us that it was hard to take in. Mike has invited us to come as a club to one of these Saturday classes so we will try to schedule something when the “Show Season” comes to an end, but for now you can learn more about their products at www.meguiars.com and what went on and even see some of us in action by checking out their web forum at http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23566

Meguiar’s Tech Day...by Dusty Peetoom

It’s been quite a while since these two have been in a classroom!

Everything here was state-of-the-art. Video and computer monitors to aid the instruction plus all the products at our fingertips.

The Clay Bar process can be quite a workout when done right.

Do You Know how long it takes 12 people to Clay Bar an Alpha Romero? I wish I could get this type of help.

Jeff Shows all of us the proper technique for preparing a wad of clay for the task at hand, but it looks like it will take Dusty a bit longer to get the hang of it.

After the Clay Bar, Mike masked off all of the rubber parts to keep them from getting any thing on them. He then masked off half of the rear deck lid to that we could view the before and after.

Look, it’s so easy even Stillwell can do it!

Meguiar’s has a new electric DA style buffer that makes life easy when detailing.

One of the tricks of the trade is to mark the back side of your buffing pads to check on the amount of pressure you apply - too much pressure and it will stop rotating!

The afternoon was very “hands on” with Mike getting involved with all of us that wanted to try their hand with the DA buffing machine.

It Is important to remember to clean your buffing pad often.

Waving the company colors, Mike shows off how to apply the final finish of NXT Tech Wax 2.0...this stuff really works!

It Is hard to say if you can see this difference on this print, but Jeff could. It was a remarkable change to the finish of this 60’s Alpha Romero.

This article was done in official Meguiar’s colors in honor of the great time we had in this class. Thanks to Barry for hiring Mike and thanks to Mike for doing such a great job for us.

Orange Plaza Car Show... continued

Car Show crowds are always interesting to watch, and this one was no different. The only difference was that we were not restricted to just people watching at this event. Check out the snake this guy was walk-ing around with!

There was a poker walk which was quite interesting. It brought everybody into several different shops including one in the basement of one of the buildings that had tons of collectable model goodies. This kept things interesting which made the day go really fast. One thing for sure, there was something for everybody.

Some guys are in it for the awards and recognition but me, I want the money. Yep, yours truly won the 50/50 while Rich Miller took top truck honors

Everybody that had an interest left our group with F-100 Western Nationals and Orange County Chapter information.

The Heap of the Week...

This latest in my collection of barn finds comes to us from one of my buddies up north. It seems while he was cleaning out a rental he has in Dixon California, he came upon this pre F-1 beauty along with as-sorted Pontiac motors and parts. You know what they say about one man’s trash being another man’s treasure! It could be yours for CHEAP!

Dorsey Grad Inks with A’s Baseball TeamGUESS WHO ???... There are hints in this 1951 newspaper article

Do you know this smile?

??? ???, a promising picture from Dorsey High School, has been signed to a contract with the Kansas City Baseball Club by scout Babe Dahlgren.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey ??? of 3725 Potomac Avenue, ??? inked with the Athletics June 27, and left Sunday immediately after graduation, for the Grand Island team of the class D Nebraska State League, to which he has been assigned for the remainder of the season.

At Grand Island, ??? will continue to preform under the tutelage of his prep coach Art Mazma-nian, a former pro infield star who coaches in the A’s system during summer months.

Carrying his 200 pounds on a rangy 6 foot 4 inch frame, the 17-year-old ??? is considered an excellent prospect, himself a one-time ace of the New York Yankees.A right-hander possessing a good curve ball, ??? is scheduled to move up to Pocatello of the Pioneer League (class C) next season.

Do you have a “Bucket List”? I know that sounds crazy especially since the movie of the same name recently flopped on the big screen, but do you? Think about it. It is not as crazy as it sounds. Sure we all have things that we want to do in life, but which part of that list are you working on? Is it that wish list for your truck, the list of things to do around the house, or playtime things? Could it be that extra time you want to spend with the family or a trip that you and your wife are looking forward to?

You see, it really does not matter as long as you have your priorities straight. We just lost a good buddy that had his priorities straight, Mike Wallace. I only met Mike a few times but among those times were memories that will last forever, and he was part of them. First it was a project that Bill Lee put together in January 2006 at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona. We had a “Club” display that Mike was part of and we won 2nd Place in the show. It was a great time for everybody and Mike was right there elbow to elbow working together, setting things up. What a great time that was. The next time we were together was during the Super Tour to Tennessee. I’ll never forget watching Mike and Vicki feed their Husky an ice cream cone in the middle of the desert. Mike did have his priorities right...good family, good friends, good times.

So get that list together and work on it, whatever it may be. I just crossed off one of the fun things from my list by scoring 2 tickets for the Indy 500 in a few weeks, but that was just after I was able to spend a week with my grandson...he’s on the top of that list if you know what I mean. Why Pickups Limited of Orange County?by Dan Cangro

In April 1968 someone placed an advertisement in a throw away paper called the Penny Saver. The add solicited owners of 1953-1956 Ford pickup trucks who might be interested in meeting other owners. A few pavement pounders answered the ad and so began the Orange County chapter of Pickups Limited. It’s now the oldest of seven chapters of vintage F-100’s.

The original membership went through growing pains and some chewin’ and jawin’ over what year trucks to include and for some crazy reason that didn’t include Panel trucks. It seems that some guys just aren’t in favor of full bodied beauties with plump and rounded rear ends. Needless to say the Panel had to wait a few years to be appreciated and for entry into the F-100 truck family, which currently includes 1948 through 1956 pickups including long and flat bed trucks.

Wild and crazy may not be the best way to describe our many club activities, nevertheless fun with a capitol ‘F’ is the club motto and I believe that is the primary reason for our membership to be at it’s highest in many a moon. Maybe it’s because we don’t put any demands on the membership or maybe it’s our motley assemblage of gear grinders, having everything from under construction to highly modi-fied and show trucks that makes our club so much fun to be a part of.

The current President is a team builder who has swelled the ranks of the club and assembled an eager group that brought you the 2007 Western Nationals. I don’t know if you attended, but if you did there is no explanation necessary. Simply stated, it was the best all Ford truck show west of the Mississippi. Members like Chris Travers editing publishing a premiere bi-monthly news letter, working our WEB site and producing a kick butt show brochure. Steve Stillwell, a well known editor and publisher of several car and truck magazines, stepped up to the plate and came up with none other than Pat Ford to emcee things and along with Chris and others he has produced eye popping raffle and drawing prizes.

El Presidente’ saw the need for greater club recognition and with the help of Ed Oe’s net working skills and untold hours behind the scenes, PUL has been recognized with printed articles, web and blog coverage and even TV’s ‘Wipnotic’ (Saturday’s at 3:00 PM). There are others of course, and I only mention the above as an example of our membership, and their drive and dedication to development of the club.

So why Pickups Limited and where does the rubber meets the road for some truck enthusi-asts? Well, some join for the friendship and universal love of trucks. Some enjoy the shop talk and ideas that help resolve problems. Still others join for the help afforded members by club affiliation, and some simply need an outlet for their passion and cruise mentality. YES, there will be a 40th anniversary party to celebrate the 27th annual Western Nationals and YES it will be a great show. Refreshments, music, vendors, good times, tip sharing, and cruising. But think about becoming a part of our PUL family anyway.

See you at the next meeting. Dan

GUESS WHO? From Page 10

PUL EDITOR’S NOTE - This article is from the Sports Section of the Grand Island Nebraska Independent newspaper on August 31, 1957...

Meet Your Athletics --

A’s Optimistic on Youthful ???EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the 27th and final in a series of articles on individual players and members of the Grand Island Athletics Class D ball club of the Nebraska State League. Today’s story is about ???, pitcher.

By Doyle E. SmithIndependent Sports WriterAmong the youngest prospects the Kansas City Athletics have on hand is ??? ???, the second youngest member of Grand Island’s Athletic team.

At 17, ???, although seldom seeing actual duty this summer with the Athletics, figures to be a “good boy” to have on contract. Athletics officials are hopeful the big lad will develop. Manager Art Mazmanian, who groomed ??? even before the 1957 summer season in the Nebraska State League, carries big hopes for the lad.

??? graduated from high school in Los Angeles in June where he lettered in both baseball and basketball. His coach in baseball in high school was Grand Island’s “fiery” skipper Art Mazmanian. ??? says he had learned much from Mazmanian before moving to Grand Island, or before considering a professional contract.

A fan of Robin Roberts, ??? says his greatest thrill in baseball - outside of inking the Class D “rookie” contract with the Athletics - was striking the side out with the bases loaded in a crucial high school contest.

??? is a descendant of a person who was well known in the field of politics. He was Oliver ???, whose name appears on the Declaration of Independence and who was a one-time governor of Connecticut. “It’s not too close a relationship” ??? says, “but is still is true.”

A bachelor at 17, ??? is contemplating entering a junior college and returning to the books after the 1957 Nebraska State League season. ??? figures that spring training in February will decide whether he is a potentialbig league player or not.

Besides baseball, the next best so far as ??? is concerned is basketball, although he likes to watch college and professional football. “I like all sports,” he says.

??? says Holdredge and Lexington have been the two toughest teams to contend with in the Nebraska State League. He also thinks the Red Sox have the most potent big league players.

Asked what he considered was the outstanding highlight of his stay in Grand Island, ??? said’ “the people and baseball fans here are tremendous. I’ve never seen anything like it.” Then ??? added, “We were never treated like this in California. There just isn’t that close feeling there.”

Spray Can Alley.....By Larry Lopez

Well here we are again, spring is in the air, the flowers are blooming, and you expect the temperatures to warm up soon. Sounds like its time to make sure coolant oil levels are properly adjusted. If you have changed your oil in a while, now is the time to do it. Like most of you, I don’t drive my vehicle truck 3 thousand miles in 3 months so if you have changed your oil in the last 3 or 4 months, you should. It’s the time of the year to start planning the next things to do to your truck. This summer, I promise my truck that I will complete the a/c installation.

Ok now back to official company business, there isn’t much to report. I’m starting to think of how the raffle will be run this year. We will have some Chinese raffle style prizes but not as many as we had last time year. I still need to come up with a better way of displaying the raffle numbers, the numbers need to be right at eye level or slightly above for people to read. I’ll just have to make a stand of some sort. I will also need some help selling raffle tickets so you might be recruited you for a short period of time. I would like to take the time in commending all though collecting prized for the raffle. Until next time, keep having fun!

Keep on having fun! Larry

Old Car Emissions Exemption No Longer Threatened in 8 California Counties

Congratulations! The California old car hobby convinced California Senate legislators to amend legislation (S.B. 1549) that sought repeal of the state’s current emissions test ex-emption for pre-1976 vehicles registered by new owners in the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District. The District includes eight counties in California’s Central Valley. Under the original bill, after Jan. 1, 2009, new owners seeking to register a pre-1976 vehicle in these eight counties would have been subject to emissions tests for the life of the vehicle. Under the amendment, the repeal language was removed and the bill instead now requires the DMV to study the state’s special license plate programs and recommend improvements.

Thanks to all of you for contributing to this successful resolution!

WHAT IS IT? This car was built by N2A motors (No Two Alike). Cost is $40,000 over the cost of a new Corvette C6 (MSRP $44,000). Unbeliev-able! The company is planning a production run of about 100 vehicles. It sits on a Corvette C6 chassis, front styled like a ‘57 Chevy, side like a ‘58, rear like a ‘59. Hence the designation ‘789’. Check it out and drool!

SO YOU THINK YOU WANT TO RUN OLD PLATES?I recently completed a lengthily journey down the DMV road in an effort to register my ’56 with actual 1956 yellow and black license plates. Boy what an undertaking it was, until I found the right person at the right office close to home in Bellflower. I kept getting the famous DMV run around and three times thought that everything was good to go, only to have my check sent back to be saying that my request was denied due to the fact that the plates that were in my hand were said to already be installed on another vehicle! That was strange indeed. It wasn’t until I went into the Bellflower office on a whim that I was told my plates needed to be released by the previous owner. Lucky for me that I received these plates from a former club member that had moved out of state and I could get the informa-tion needed. All I can say is good luck and stay calm…HOW DOES IT WORK? - You see, the State of California will allow cars and trucks of model year 1962 and earlier to be registered with original license plates that correspond to the model year of the vehicle. This is known as the “YOM” or Year of Manufacture program. The year of the plates must match the model year of the vehicle. For example, a pair of 1947 plates on your 1947 Ford, or for your 1955 Ford, a pair of 1951 plates with a “55” metal tab, or for your 1959 F-100, a pair of 1956 plates with the 1959 sticker. If your vehicle is any model year later than the cutoff (presently 1962), you can not register antique plates to it. Vehicles newer than the cutoff cannot take antique plates and older vehicles can only take the proper configuration for the year of the car. The vintage plates you want to regis-ter must be “DMV Clear”. This means the DMV has no record of that number. The DMV will check their database and if the plate number comes up, it is “in use” and can’t be registered. The DMV does not save or certify a plate number as being officially clear. Even a DMV printout only indicates a plate number was not on file as of that particular date and time. The clear status cannot be considered permanent as your number could be snapped up on a custom plate at any time.

WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU NEED TO TAKE TO THE DMV? – Take the YOM plates, the year sticker or metal tab(s) if applicable, the YOM application form (best to have it filled out in advance), the car’s current registration card, a filled out release form from the previous owner of the plates if possible, and your checkbook. You don’t need to take the car there, unless it is coming into the state and has no California registration, in which case they’ll need to inspect it anyway (even for modern plates). They rarely ask you to turn in your existing plates, but if they do, and if the existing plates are collectible and you don’t want to let them go, just politely say so. Or tell them the car has been in pieces for years and you don’t have the plates. That’s why you’re getting this pair registered now. YOU WILL GET A TEMPO-RARY WINDOW STICKER to use until the new registration arrives in the mail. You have to use the window sticker and you cannot use the YOM plates until the registration comes in the mail. (And bear in mind, the YOM plates are not proven available UNTIL that time.)

FOLLOWING IS THE ACTUAL DMV CODE DEALING WITH YOM REGISTRATION: CVC CODE 5004.1. (a) An owner of any vehicle that is a 1962 or older model year vehicle may, after the requirements for the registra-tion of the vehicle have been complied with and with the approval of the department, utilize license plates of this state with the date of year corresponding to the model year date when the vehicle was manufactured, if the model year date license plate is legible and serviceable, as determined by the department, in lieu of the license plates otherwise required by this code. The department may consult with an organization of old car hobbyists in determining whether the date of year of the license plate to be used corresponds to the model year date when the vehicle was manufac-tured.(b) A fee of thirty-five dollars ($35) shall be charged for the application for use of the special plates.(c) In addition to the regular renewal fee for the vehicle for which the plates are authorized, the applicant for a renew-al of the plates shall be charged an additional fee of ten dollars ($10). When payment of a regular vehicle renewal fee is not required by this code, the holder of any license plates with a date corresponding to the model year may retain the plates upon payment of an annual fee of twenty dollars ($20), which shall be due at the expiration of the registration year of the vehicle to which the plate was last assigned under this section.(d) Whenever any person who has been authorized to utilize the special license plates applies to the department for transfer of the plates to another vehicle, a transfer fee of twelve dollars ($12) shall be charged in addition to all other appropriate fees.

The weather man was not too kind to us for this event. AN unseasonable triple digit day created lot’s of problems for those Chevy’s in the street, but the F-100’s rolled along as always. This show which takes place at the Edelbrock World headquarters, combines a bit of everything that is right about cars and Southern California. We had racers, street rods, vintage racers, celebrities, a great tour of Vic’s Garage, and last but not least, a great turnout of F-100’s. I think my favorite part of the day was our short 3 mile cruise from Denny’s to the event. We really took over Sepulveda and Crenshaw and created quite a scent driving abreast! Now that was FUN. I haven’t had that much fun since we 2006 when we were crus’in in Pigeon Forge with Bill Lee and the gang, honking at everybody that waved to us.

And that’s what it is all about.

Top this for a speeding ticket... Two California Highway Patrol Officers were conducting speeding enforcement on I-15, just north of the Marine Corps Air Station at Miramar. One of the officers was using a hand held radar device to check speeding vehicles approaching the crest of a hill. The officers were suddenly surprised when the radar gun began reading 300 miles per hour. The officer attempted to reset the radar gun, but it would not reset and then turned off. Just then, a deafening roar over the treetops revealed that the radar had in fact locked on to a USMC F/A-18 Hornet which was engaged in a low flying exercise near the location. Back at the CHP Headquarters the Patrol Captain fired off a complaint to the USMC Base Commander. The reply came back in true USMC style:

”Thank you for your letter. We can now complete the file on this incident. You may be interested to know that the tactical computer in the Hornet had detected the presence of, and subsequently locked on to your hostile radar equipment and automatically sent a jamming signal back to it, which is why it shut down. Furthermore, an Air-to-Ground missile aboard the fully armed aircraft had also automatically locked on to your equipment location.

Fortunately, the Marine Pilot flying the Hornet recognized the situation for what it was, quickly responded to the missile system alert status and was able to override the automated defense system before the missile was launched to destroy the hostile radar position. The pilot also suggests you cover your mouths when cussing at them, since the video systems on these jets are very high tech. Sergeant Johnson, the officer holding the radar gun, should get his dentist to check his left rear molar. It appears the filling is loose. Also, the snap is broken on his holster. Thank you for your concern. Semper Fi.”

WD-40 Well, Who Knew...? This fella had just bought a new pickup. His neighbor woke got up very early one Sunday morning and saw that someone had spray painted red all around the sides of this beige truck (for some unknown reason). The neighbor went over, woke him up, and told him the bad news. He was very upset and was trying to figure out what to do...probably nothing until Monday morning, since nothing was open. Another neighbor came out and told him to get his WD-40 and clean it off. It removed the unwanted paint beautifully and did not harm his paint job that was on the truck. I’m impressed! WD-40 who knew?

“WD-40” literally stands for Water Displacement, 40th attempt. That’s the name straight out of the lab book used by the chemist Norm Larsen when he developed WD-40 back in 1953. Norm was attempting to concoct a formula to prevent corrosion, a task which is done by displacing water. Norm’s persistence paid off when he perfected the formula on his 40th try. The Convair Company bought it in bulk to protect their atlas missile parts. Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you as P. S. The basic ingredient is FISH OIL.

When you read the “shower door” part, try it. It’s the first thing that has ever cleaned that spotty shower door. If yours is plastic, it works just as well as glass. It’s a miracle! Then try it on your stovetop... Voila! It’s now shinier than it’s ever been. You’ll be amazed. Here are some of the uses: 1) Protects silver from tarnishing. 2) Removes road tar and grime from cars. 3) Cleans and lubricates guitar strings. 4) Gives floors that ‘just-waxed’ sheen without making it slippery. 5) Keeps flies off cows. 6) Restores and cleans chalkboards. 7) Removes lipstick stains. 8) Loosens stubborn zippers. 9) Untangles jewellery chains. 10) Removes stains from stainless steel sinks. 11) Removes dirt and grime from the barbecue grill. 12) Keeps ceramic/terra cotta garden pots from oxidizing. 13) Removes tomato stains from clothing. 14) Keeps glass shower doors free of water spots. 15) Camouflages scratches in ceramic and marble floors. 16) Keeps scissors working smoothly. 17) Lubricates noisy door hinges on vehicles and doors in homes 18) It removes black scuff marks from the kitchen floor! Use WD-40 for those nasty ta r and scuff marks on flooring. It doesn’t seem to harm the finish and you won’t have to scrub nearly as hard to get them off. Just remember to open some windows if you have a lot of marks. 19) Bug guts will eat away the finish on your car if not removed quickly! Use WD-40! 20) Gives a children’s play gym slide a shine for a super fast slide. 21) Lubricates gear shift and mower deck lever for ease of handling on riding mowers. 22) Rids kids rocking chairs and swings of squeaky noises. 23) Lubricates tracks in sticking home windows and makes them easier to open. 24) Spraying an umbrella stem makes it easier to open and close. 25) Restores and cleans padded leather dashboards in vehicles, as well as vinyl bumpers. 26) Restores and cleans roof racks on vehicles. 27) Lubricates and stops squeaks in electric fans. 28) Lubricates wheel sprockets on tricycles, wagons, and bicycles for easy handling. 29) Lubricates fan belts on washers and dryers and keeps them running smoothly. 30) Keeps rust from forming on saws and saw blades, and other tools. 31) Removes splattered grease on stove. 32) Keeps bathroom mirror from fogging. 33) Lubricates prosthetic limbs. 34) Keeps pigeons off the balcony (they hate the smell). 35) Removes all traces of duct tape. 36) Folks even spray it on their arms, hands, and knees to relieve arthritis pain. 37) Florida’s favourite use is: “cleans and removes love bugs from grills and bumpers.” 38) The favourite use in the state of New York WD-40 protects the Statue of Liberty from the elements. 39) WD-40 attracts fish. Spray a LITTLE on live bait or lures and you will be catching the big one in no time. Also, it’s a lot cheaper than the chemical attractants that are made for just that purpose. Keep in mind though, using some chemical laced baits or lures for fishing are not allowed in some states. 40) Use it for fire ant bites. It takes the sting away immediately and stops the itch. 41) WD-40 is great for removing crayon from walls. Spray on the mark and wipe with a clean rag. 42) Also, if you’ve discovered that your teenage daughter has washed and dried a tube of lipstick with a load of laundry, saturate the lipstick spots with WD-40 and re-wash. Presto! Lipstick is gone! 43) If you sprayed WD-40 on the distributor cap, it would displace the moisture and allow the car to start. 28 www.pickupslimited.com
