ORDINANCE NO. 37, s. 1999

AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING RENTAL FEE ON THE USE OR OCCUPATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICE AND/OR BUILDING SPACE BY ANY PRIVATE PERSON OR ENTITY OTHER THAN ANY GOVERNMENT ENTITY.

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Ragay, Province of Camarines Sur that -

SECTION I. IMPOSITION - A rental fee shall be imposed and collected from any private person or entity such as but not limited to corporations, company, enterprises, cooperatives, etc. for the use or to occupy a local government office and/or building space other than government entity or government owned and control corporation (GOCC).

SECTION II. RENTAL FEE. The following rental fee shall be collected per month:

OFFICE/BUILDING SPACEAMOUNT PER MONTH

with floor area of not more than

thirty (30) square meters

P 500.00

with floor area of more than thirty (30)

square meters but not more than

One hundred (100) square meters

P1,000.00

SECTION III. ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISION.

The Office of the Municipal Treasurer shall be responsible in the collection of monthly rental fee imposed under this Ordinance. In addition, it shall coordinate with the Office of the Municipal Engineer in the assessment of the rental fee to be collected based on the floor area to be occupied.

SECTION IV. PENAL PROVISION.

Any private person or entity who violates the provision of this Ordinance shall be fined Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) in the minimum and Two Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (P2,500.00) in the maximum and automatic eviction of said person occupying such office and/or building without prejudice to the filling of criminal case against such person.

SECTION V - REPEALING CLAUSE - Any ordinance or part of an ordinance inconsistent with the provision of this ordinance is hereby repealed accordingly.

SECTION VI - EFFECTIVITY - This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
