THESE PETITIONS COMING ON FOR HEARING, THISDAY, Chief Justice, MADE THE FOLLOWING:
ORDER
These writ petitions are fired, in the nature of
public interest litigation, seeking pedestrians safety on
the main roads of the city of Bengaluru.
2" A comprehensive report is submitted by the
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara parike (for short .the
BBM P',).

3. Mr.Ajesh Kumar, Iearned advocate
appearing for the writ petitioners, submits that it is
true that the BBMP has taken substantial measures to
extend protection to the pedestrians. However, he
submits that the writ petitioners are not fully satisfied
and that there are many more things to be done"
4. From the report submitted by the BBMP it
appears that substantial steps have been taken by the
BBMP to safeguard the interest of the writ petitioners.
Thus, we feel that we can close these writ petitions by
directing the BBMP to see that the footpaths are free
and easily accessible by the pedestrians'
5. We trust and hope that the BBMP shall
continue with the measures to keep the footpaths
clean and free for the pedestrians.
