A true classic south Indian street food from Ashoka is a notch
up from the famous Glaswegian chicken pakora. The flavour
of the dish can be attributed to the authentic Indian seasonings and herbs.
Momos This dish from Ashoka is one of the most loved appetisers
among the Indian subcontinent and the Himalayan
regions. This steamed dumpling comes with either vegetables or chicken mince, served with spicy red sauce.
Coconut Chappli This is a Mughlai-influenced Pashtun-style minced kebab,
made from chicken mince with desiccated coconut and
various spices in the shape of a patty served with yoghurt mint sauce.
Pocket Shawarma A middle eastern dish given a twist by Ashoka. Warm
bread pockets stuffed with chicken or vegetables
marinated in Indian herbs and spices including curry leaves. Available with chicken or vegetables.
Fish Cake Tuna fish spiced with homemade garam masala, turmeric,
chilli powder, curry leaf and kaffir lime leaves.
Lamb Pepper Fry This Kerala style lamb fry has a good pungency from black
peppercorns and the coconut oil giving it a rich flavour.

A flavoursome curry from southern India made by
toasting number of spices with coconut and
producing an aroma, that has a slight aniseed scent.
Molagu Turn up the heat with this traditional curry packed
with plenty Indian herbs and spices along with
tamarind and curry leaves cardamom, cinnamon stick,
and white pepper.
Calicut Biriyani
Rice based recipe blended with vegetables, chicken
or king prawn. Calicut Biryani has got fame due to
its aroma and burst of flavour, served with raita.
Kondattam This tangy South Indian dish is a fusion of bell
peppers, black peppers, onions, garlic, ginger and a
melange of other spices.
Badami This dish is a beautiful combination with the
flavours of tender pieces of chicken or lamb, that
slight sweetness of the almonds and the creaminess
of fresh cream and desiccated coconut milk.
Kerala Fusion Dal Unique blend of tempered red lentils, okra and
drumsticks flavoured with turmeric, curry leaves and
coconut.
Aloo Shimla Mirch
This is a delicious dry dish from Shimla consisting of
crunchy green bell peppers, potatoes and a whole
host of herbs and spices
Tofu Saag Spinach makes the base of this traditional, healthy
Indian dish. The combination of this with tofu makes
the perfect nutritious vegan curry.
