The function of an order form

An order form is a document used by a customer to request a product from the company. Normally, an order form’s function is to supply the request for the product but new customers will often have to fill out their personal details such as their full name, address, contact details to provide the company the information needed to create an account or send the product to the new customer.

Order Form’s are generally communicated face to face in shops and stores. However, they can also be communicated across the internet by filling in an online form; this is often used by online ecommerce companies like ‘Amazon’. Order Form can also be sent via post or email but the use of post is declining because of the easy and efficient online ordering and ordering products on Computer systems within stores e.g. A touch screen system.
