BITS CAKE WALA - Order Processing Steps


STEP 1: Customer places an order

(Order may be placed to be delivered at a certain time like 4:00 PM or as soon as possible – ASAP)


STEP 2: Bakery gets ‘Order Placed’ SMS & Email

(SMS & Email contains all the necessary information regarding the order like customer name, mobile number, cake name, cake variant(Egg/Eggless), final bill amount, payment mode, delivery address, delivery time etc)


STEP 3: Bakery calls the customer & verifies

(Upon receiving the SMS/Email, bakery needs to call the customer and verify the details like cake name, variant(Egg/Eggless), final bill amount, message on cake, delivery address, delivery address, delivery time in case of ASAP etc.

This will remove any kind of miscommunication/confusion as the bakery and the customer will be in touch directly)


STEP 4: Bakery needs to open the ‘Order Details Link’ provided in SMS & Email and click on the ‘Confirm Order’ button

(Customer will get an automated notification via SMS & Email that the order has been confirmed by the bakery)


STEP 5: Bakery delivers the order

(Timely delivery of an order will bring up more orders for the bakery)


NOTE 1: If bakery doesn’t click on the ‘Confirm Button’ on order details page within 10 minutes of order placement SMS/Email, bakery gets an ‘Action Required’ SMS & Email as a reminder.

Bakery needs to verify the details from the customer and confirm the order by clicking on the ‘Confirm Order’ button.


NOTE 2: If bakery doesn’t click on the ‘Confirm Button’ on order details page within 20 minutes of order placement SMS/Email, customer gets SMS & Email saying that the bakery has not taken any action for your order.

In that case, the customer may cancel the order and place it from another bakery.


BITS CAKE WALA – Designer Cakes Enquiry


STEP 1: Customer raises an Enquiry for designer cakes

(Delivery duration is set to minimum of 24 hours)


STEP 2: Bakery gets ‘Designer Enquiry’ SMS & Email

(The SMS & Email contains a link to ‘Enquiry Details Page’ that contains the customer details like name, mobile number, delivery area and the cakes enquired along with their pictures)


STEP 3: Bakery needs to call the customer with their quotation

(Bakery gives the price, minimum weight and delivery duration to the customer.

If customer agrees, the bakery can take the order and deliver it on their own)


NOTE 1: Designer cake enquiry is given to all the bakeries that deliver in that area.

So, the bakery with the best offer in terms of price, customer friendliness etc will have higher chances of getting the order.
