Ordering a Purdue University Transcript Online
Online requests are processed within one to three business days. Official transcripts are provided free-of-charge by the Registrar’s Office at the West Lafayette Campus. Each student/alumnus is limited to 10 transcripts per request and 50 transcripts per semester. The online transcript system will accept attachments to be included in the mailing of your transcript.
Attachments must be in one of the following formats: Word, Excel, or .pdf
To request a Transcript from Purdue University online, go to http://www.purdue.edu/registrar
Click on the box labeled Transcripts

Click the link Register for a New Account
Click the box No, I don’t want a Purdue Global transcript

Enter your personal email address and click Validate

Enter the required information
The box above the submit button stating, “I have read and agree to the Purdue University’s IT Resource Acceptable Use Policy” must be clicked in order to proceed
Click the Submit button

This page will pop up telling you to check your email inbox
You have 30 minutes to activate your account using the email just sent by purdue.edu
Failure to activate your account through the email in 30 minutes will result in needing to start the process over
Click on the link provided in the email from purdue.edu

At this point, you will create a password for your new account
You will then need to select security questions and enter the answers
Click the Activate button when finished

You can now order a transcript, Electronic (email copy) or Physical (paper copy)
This page also shows information about current and previous requests
You can see the status of recent requests
The following pages will show the process breakdown for both type of transcript requests
Ordering an Electronic Transcript
If you have nothing to attach, just click Next
The first step is only necessary if you have to add an attachment to the transcript
Either the option to Choose File or Browse will appear (depending on browser)
Click the option and a file manager window will open

Select the file to attach and click Open
Click Attach

It now shows you what files are attached
Repeat to attach another file
You can only attach two files
Click Next when finished

You will now enter the name of the individual, business, or university receiving the transcript
Enter the email address of the receiving party
You have to re-enter the email address for confirmation purposes
You can send multiple transcripts in one request my clicking Add Another Recipient
If only sending one transcript, click the Next button

After clicking Add Another Recipient new boxes will appear
Again, enter required information
Click the Next button

First, confirm that the delivery information is correct
On this page you can also add notes for either the Purdue Registrar’s Office or the Recipient

If you click + Add a note for Purdue Registrar’s, you will see this box appear on the page
Click Submit when finished

Click Return to myPurdue Transcript

The Postal option is free
Fed-Ex next business day is available for $25
Select Delivery Method
Click Next
Ordering a Physical Transcript
You can attach up to two files
This is done the same way as when attaching to an electronic transcript request
Click Next when finished or if you have nothing to attach

Enter the recipient’s name (individual name, business, or institution)
Enter recipient’s address
You can send multiple transcripts with one request
If you need to send more than one transcript, click on Add Another Recipient
Click Next when finished

Review delivery details
You can add notes for either the Purdue Registrar’s Office or Recipient
Just like you could sending an electronic transcript
You also need to enter a your phone number in case they need to contact you
Click Submit when finished

It now displays the confirmation
Click Return to myPurdue Transcript
Transcript Request System
This screen now displays status of all requests
When you are finished, remember to Logout!
