RESOLUTION NO. 2010-09

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POULSBO, WASHINGTON, ALLOWING THE WrrHDRAWAL OF THE BID OF INTERIOR DEVELOPMENT EAST, RECEIVED BY THE CITY ON THE POULSBO CITY HALL LOOSE AND MODULAR FURNITURE II\JSTALLATION PROJECT AND AWARDING THE BID TO THE SECOND LOW BIDDER.

WHEREAS, the City of Poulsbo recently opened bids on the project known as the Poulsbo City Hall Loose and Modular Furniture Installation Project (#CN2010-002); and

WHEREAS, the bid from Interior Development East, received by the City was the apparent low bid; and

WHEREAS, Interior Development East's bid proposal was not submitted on the appropriate form provided by the City; and

WHEREAS, Interior Development East's has submitted a letter to the City stating they made a mistake in the preparation of their bid and requesting that their bid be withdrawn from consideration; and

WHEREAS, in light of this fact, the Public Works Director has recommended that the City Council allow Interior Development East to withdraw their bid; and

WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has determined that OM Workspace was the second low bidder on the project; Now, therefore,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POULSBO, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Allow Withdrawal of Bid. The bid received by the City of Poulsbo from Interior Development East on the Poulsbo City Hall Loose and Modular Furniture Installation Project (#CN2010--002) is hereby allowed to be withdrawn by Interior Development East.

Section 2. Award of Bid. OM Workspace has submitted the lowest responsive bid for the Poulsbo City Hall Loose and Modular Furniture Installation Project and the City Council hereby awards the contract in the amount of $303,714.29 (inclUding Washington State sales tax) to OM Workspace and authorizes the Mayor to execute the same.
