Writing makes our thinking and learning visible and permanent. Writing fosters our ability to explain and refine our ideas to others and ourselves. This 2-day course is an interactive training to develop the writing skills and tools needed to communicate clearly and effectively through the basics of English writing. Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to : Understand and acknowledge the growing need for effective and efficient writing skill. Gradually build up their writing skill starting from simple to more complex writing. Prepare a variety of written documents using proper and various sentence structures. Express themselves through their writing. MS SHANTHINI D/O V. RAMACHANDRAN possessed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from University of London, UK and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from the Institute of Commercial Management, UK. She started off her career as a Lecturer with Kolej Utara. She then went on to pursue her career in lecturing with numerous educational institutions namely, IBMEC Singapore, Olympia College, English Language Centre JB, Methodist College Penang; Taj International College and Sunway College. MS SHANTHINI area of specialization include Communication, English language, Business and Report writing, Personal Grooming, Legal aspects, Time Management, Leadership skills, Emotional Intelligence, Interpersonal skills and Human relations. In the past, she has conducted training for numerous organizations namely Saliran Air Johor, Premintex Sanko, Speakright Consulting, CS Tan & Associates, Khazanah National, Saitech Wastewater, Quantum Consulting and many more. She is also the proprietor of an educational institution specializing in written and conversational English for young and adult learners. She packs 14 years of lecturing and training experience and is a HRDF Certified Trainer.

Module 2BASICS OF WRITTEN ENGLISH Introduction to Basics of English

o Participants will learn the vocabulary for business English, sentence structure andconstruction and common phrases and expressions.

Module 3WRITTEN ENGLISH AT WORKPLACE AND EVERYDAY LIFE Introduction to Common Business / Social Correspondence

o Participants will learn how to write effective memos, letters, emails, minutes ofmeeting, notices and replies to office group chats and chats on social media.

Module 47 C'S OF EFFECTIVE WRITING. Participants will learn the importance of consideration, courtesy, clarity, correctness,

conciseness and completeness in writing.

Module 5BASIC REPORT WRITING Format of a Report Editing & Proofreading Methods Presenting a Report

o Participants will learn the whole works of preparing an effective report.

Office & Operations staff and anyone who wants to hone their proficiency of the Englishlanguage and their basic writing skills.

Interactive training with powerpoint presentations, games & activities that is related to topic,role play, presentations and videos.
