A. Functional Departmentation The grouping the activities accordance with the functions of enterprise The organization under this method gets divided into three major functions:

Production, Marketing and Finance. Almost all enterprise are engaged in the production of goods and services.

They are engaged also in the sales of these goods and services. The production and sales of goods and services require a definite amount of finance also. That’s why Production, Marketing and finance are considered to be the basic functions.

Production activity subdivided into purchase of raw materials, production control and maintenance of machinery.
