Student’s will get a tardy from the school office if parents arrive after 8:15 a.m.

School will notify parents if students are absent.

If students return within the same school day with a Dr.’s excuse, they will be considered present.

Doctor’s excuse must be submitted upon returning to school.

Parents are not allowed to pick up their students after 3:15pm.

Students’ have to attend school 90% of the time or students’ may lose credit or be retained for the year.

Medication Administration Policy Administración de Medicamento

If students need medication, a medication release form must be signed and medication must be brought in its original container. The prescription must be FDA approved (no prescription from Mexico will be accepted).

Students’ may not carry their own medication.

Student Accidental Insurance is available for purchase thru Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. If you are interested in purchasing, please pick up a flyer in the front office or (800)366-4810. Please note that this insurance is not provided thru our campus or District.

T I -Parental Involvement Participación de los Padres

A Title I school district is required to establish expectations for parental involvement. Title I Parental involvement requires to develop a parental involvement policy.

A campus Title I parent meeting will be held annually to discuss implementation of Title I funds. The purpose of Title I is to ensure that children activities and services support students’ in meeting the state’s academic standards

Volunteering: All parents are encourage to do 10 hours of volunteer work. There are several ways to volunteer. We have a parent volunteer handbook and a background check form to fill out. All parents are required to fill out this form in order to volunteer.

McKinney Vento School districts, as recipients of Federal financial assistance and as public entities, must ensure that their educational programs for homeless children are administered in a nondiscriminatory manner.

Changing schools significantly impedes a student’s academic and social growth. The literature on highly mobile students indicates that it can take a student four to six months to recover academically after changing schools. Highly mobile students have also been found to have lower test scores and overall academic performance than peers who do not change schools. Therefore, the McKinney-Vento Act calls for LEAs to maintain students in their school of origin to the extent feasible.

Dismissal Salida de Clases

Driveline will be close at 4:25pm. Anybody arriving after 4:25pm will need to park and walk to school office.

At 4:30pm students will be taken to the holding room (stage)

Upon picking up your child(ren) from the holding room, a $5 fee per child will be assessed. (if you are late, be prepare to pay).
