  • Scope of the project: Study the strategic and operational

    practices of the various departments in theorganization Analyse one department practices of theorganization in detail Study a Specific challenge in thedepartment

  • Duration of the project: July 1- 28, 2015(4 weeks)

    Project supervision: The student will workunder the guidance of a supervisor from theorganization and a faculty advisor of thedepartment

  • The organization can be a public / private sector company in any industry

    If private sector company is chosen, following criterion should be fulfilledNumber of employees 100Company should have well defined

    organization structureCompany must have all functional departmentsCompany must be in existence for the past 5

    years

    Guidelines for the choice of organization

  • Procedure of obtaining Internship:i. The faculty advisor will provide a supportletter to the student for the application.ii. Students must provide a copy of the offerletter to the faculty advisor.iii. Once the organisation is fixed, studentsshould not change the organisation

  • Visits:A member of the academic staff may visit theorganization during the period of theirinternship/ or may interact with theorganisational supervisor.Interaction with Faculty advisor:The student shall maintain frequent contacts

    with the faculty advisor, through e-mails.Failure to contact will detain the eligibility ofthe student in attending the Viva Voce.

  • Code of Conducti. Remember the values of KCT. BS Learning, Trust andCompetence. Exhibit it at all times in the organisation.ii. Adhere to the Rules and Regulations/Code of

    Conduct of the institution and the terms of the projectwith the company.iii. You are required to observe and follow thecorporate culture of the company. You should alwayspresent yourself at all times as a respectable employee of thecompany. Perform all required job tasks related to internshipas efficiently as possible.iv. You should inform the Company and the Facultyimmediately of any sickness or accident if occurs during theinternship period.

  • v. Complete the Daily Log on a daily basis, and at the end ofevery week, obtain your supervisors signature to verify thecontents of the Daily Log. Keep the duly completed and signedDaily Log in a safe place for future submission to the facultyadvisor.vi. Give the Company Evaluation form to your organisationsupervisor and get it duly filled.vii. You are required to report to work on allworking days. In case of any emergency you shall informthe company authorities.viii. In case of any difficulties in carrying out the internship, youare required to inform the faculty advisor/ OrganisationalSupervisor.
