AEZ Orthodontic Instruments was founded in1973 by Al and Adry Ezcurra and joined theOrmco family in 1990. All AEZ cutters and pliers featurea one-piece design that enhances their ability to withstand the rigors of daily sterilizationprocedures and eliminates the risk of galvanicreaction and the resultant corrosive effects.AEZ cutters also include tips that have beenspecially heat treated to a Rockwell hardness of 63, and inserted cutters contain a cobaltsteel tip for increased hardness and durability.

ETM was founded in 1956 and joined Ormcoin 1994. Since its inception, ETM has been the leader in providing orthodontists with thehighest quality, most durable instruments inthe industry. What continues to set ETMinstruments apart are their design and con-struction features, including the use of highlycorrosion-resistant, surgical-grade stainlesssteel and strong factory-adjustable joints. ETMcutters are hard chrome plated and contain diamond-honed tool steel inserts, for a lifetimeof use. Most ETM pliers are also manufacturedfrom technologically advanced XQ25 stainlesssteel forgings for added strength.
