I am excited to tell you that I will be going on a mission trip to [city, country]! I will be traveling with a group of ORU students as a part of the ORU Outreach Department. As students at ORU, we are being trained to bring God’s healing power through business, worship, medicine, education and through preaching the Gospel [modify according to your team or what you will be doing]. I will be able to use my unique gifts and training to minister the message of God’s love to the [example: Ugandans, Brazilians, Fijians, etc]

My missions’ team will minister throughout the city/villages of [location]. Each day on the mission field we will present the Gospel through various forms. This trip will be very challenging, but I am excited to see God use our team to bring His healing power and love both practically and spiritually.

I will be leaving on [trip start date] and returning home on [trip end date]. In the meantime I will be working hard to raise funds for my trip. The total cost of this trip is [total cost for your trip]. As you can imagine, paying for an (international) mission trip as a full-time college student is not an easy task. We will be working on several different fundraising events throughout the year, but we will still need the help of our friends and family. Your money is an investment in the work of the Kingdom of God and will go a long way in making a difference in the many lives that we will touch.
