At times excruciatingly hushed and desolate, at others anthemic and euphoric, this 5-piece use the full range of their instruments and voices to compelling effect, bringing to life the vivid and moving lyrics of frontman Will Green. Part of their Compass Tour, taking in North, South, East, and West of England to support the release of four new singles, their Courthouse appearance represents a homecoming for two of the band who learned their trade as teenagers on the Northern folk scene and at the Otley Folk Festival.Tickets: £10/£8 in advance, £11/£9 on the door.feldsparmusic.wordpress.com

The hundredth anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War will be marked by a focus on the life and times of Superintendent Warburton and his family. Visitors can also see the new Courthouse Timeline in the cell corridor.Free entry

NORDIC FIDDLERS BLOCSunday 2 November 8pmWe loved the interplay between these 3 fine young fiddlers on their last visit and are delighted to offer you another opportunity to enjoy the magical dynamic created by The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc – Olav Luksengård Mjelva, Anders Hall and Kevin Henderson from Norway, Sweden and the Shetland Islands respectively. Using both the traditional fiddle and the distinctive

8-stringed Hardanger fiddle, Nordic Fiddler’s Bloc play music of variety and complexity, with moments of exquisite subtlety and genuine beauty. Their sound is unique as they blend three individual styles from these Nordic regions but still allow their three distinct flavours – and sense of humour – to come through.Tickets: £12/£10 in advance, £13/£11 on the door.thenordicfiddlersbloc.com
