This is based on thedevelopment of this co-op’s potential , not only for thistown but for many other towns which need, now morethan ever, a tool that is consistent with the principles,aims and desires from Andalusian people working inrural media.For this reason, it has been designed a strategic planthat intends to refine an economic labour that hasbeen, is and wil l be at the service of people, of creatingrichness and of dignified employment. This is a newboost that goes beyond the local sphere and becomesthe engine of new Andalusian initiatives to strengthensociopol itical cooperativism at the service of analternative society.Therefore, an issuance of equity securities is done. A) The chal lengue of the groundMarinaleda’s Assembly has decided to go a new stepfurther in this fight for the ground. The col lective assetof “the ground for those who work it” wil l be real in theimplementation of Marinaleda Foundation, created topurchase plots of land from the estate “El Humoso”.Property wil l be col lective, indivisible and inal ienable.And its management wil l need to be done bylabourers’ co-ops that comply with the principles ofsocial and supportive economy.B) From food sovereignty to financial sovereigntyMarinaleda S.C.A. advocates for civi l society instead ofconventional banking. This decision is consistent, onthe one hand, with the agreements made to promotealternative financial systems and avoid traditionalbanking and, on the other hand, it is consistent withthe defense of food sovereignty’s principles and values.

C) New formulae for new chal lengesThe co-op has signed sale agreements of agriculturalproducts, with important volumes for the nextagricultural campaigns. These commitments requirefinancial resources in order to improve and enhancethe co-op’s productive structure. Co-op is intended forthose who feel part of this project or, at least, whothink this is a very important reference for the group ofsocial and supportive economy.D) Implementation progress in the cooperative modelThe design and implementation of Marinaleda’sStrategic Plan S.C.A. 2015-2025 (“Plan EstratégicoMarinaleda”) , the creation of a new communicationplan (new website, relaunch of own brands) , the bettowards social and ecological crops that createemployment and the decision to progress in the shortcycle distribution are some of the immediate proposalsthat we undertake with the new financial resources.
